CARLOS TEVEZ fears the amazing British-record signing of Robinho has transformed megabucks Manchester City into genuine title contenders.
The Eastlands outfit became the richest club in the world on Monday when they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group.
And they immediately put down a marker by splashing £32.5million on 24-year-old striker Robinho — even though the Samba star had been chased by Chelsea all summer.
Red Devils hitman Tevez, 24, reckons there are now FOUR rivals for United’s Premier League crown rather than three.
The Argie insisted: “Robinho will greatly improve the quality of Man City. They will be much closer to the top this year.
"He’s one of those great players that people want to go and watch because he has a lot of fun playing.
“Robinho is one of the game’s best entertainers but the Premier League defenders won’t see it that way.
"The players who have to mark him will be very uncomfortable this season.
“City’s squad is looking so strong now. With Robinho, Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Petrov and Elano they have real quality.
“And with all their impressive new signings, the two Manchester derby games could be really significant this season. They are now even more important to win.
“We lost to City twice in the league last year but, even though they are stronger now, we look forward to gaining revenge.
“They have quality and they also have the defender who marked me the best last season — Micah Richards. Well-built, fast and strong, he is a very good defender.”
