Just a bit of fun really, i cant see many of the above coming in tbh. I think Adebayor and Eto'o could be possibilities given whats gone on this summer and i could see us going for Villa or Gomez. But dont think we will get any of the rest named.

Ooooh! I hope it's Cannavaro - he's set to leave on a free next summer anyhow! Biggrin

Who do you want to be bought in by January? and who would you like that would realistically come?

after seeing that squad i think that you should be happy with what you got because on top of having a new manager it is never good to add alot of players or egos. which is kind of what Chelsea did their first year with Abramovich.ideally Hughes will be replaced with a top coach next year unless he really shows to be a great manager or at least that i what i think the owners will do.

cant wait to play Man city in Pro Evo and kich Chelseas and Man utds ass. Very Happy

Im trying to be realistic in who id like cos i just cant imagine Kaka or Messi coming so im not even thinking about it.

Id love Eto'o or Adebayor for the striker role but my first choice for it would be Villa. After that id like a good box to box mid to give Johnson some competitin but not sure who...any suggestions ?

A left back is a must but its very hard finding top class ones we could get, my first choice would be Lahm.

I will have a clearer idea closer to Jan when we have played more games and have more of an idea of the positions we need to strengthen but a left back and a striker will be two of them without a doubt.

Hmm cant think of a high profile player but Makoun would have been a good buy.prob a good idea to go after players that dont play at top clubs but players that are about to hit it just like Chelsea did. of course it will take scouting. Pasqual from Fiorentina would be an excellent buy aswell because he wouldnt cost alot because Fiorentina has bought Vargas(also Lb).

Villa is about the one player I'm sure wouldn't go to City. He isn't really motivated by money to the extent that other footballers are. I don't think he has any desire to leave Spain either.

CARLOS TEVEZ fears the amazing British-record signing of Robinho has transformed megabucks Manchester City into genuine title contenders.
The Eastlands outfit became the richest club in the world on Monday when they were taken over by the Abu Dhabi United Group.

And they immediately put down a marker by splashing £32.5million on 24-year-old striker Robinho — even though the Samba star had been chased by Chelsea all summer.

Red Devils hitman Tevez, 24, reckons there are now FOUR rivals for United’s Premier League crown rather than three.

The Argie insisted: “Robinho will greatly improve the quality of Man City. They will be much closer to the top this year.

"He’s one of those great players that people want to go and watch because he has a lot of fun playing.

“Robinho is one of the game’s best entertainers but the Premier League defenders won’t see it that way.

"The players who have to mark him will be very uncomfortable this season.

“City’s squad is looking so strong now. With Robinho, Pablo Zabaleta, Martin Petrov and Elano they have real quality.

“And with all their impressive new signings, the two Manchester derby games could be really significant this season. They are now even more important to win.

“We lost to City twice in the league last year but, even though they are stronger now, we look forward to gaining revenge.

“They have quality and they also have the defender who marked me the best last season — Micah Richards. Well-built, fast and strong, he is a very good defender.”

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good to see Tevez is shitting it, sounds like a decent bloke though.....probably wants to sign for city lol! !

Just remembered Castillo's Betis deal fell through and with the window closing, we still have him. He could actually turn out to be a decent squad player, especially in Europe.

I would like everyone to spare a thought for my favourite City player, young Danny Porridge. A week ago he was looking forward to the new season and maybe getting 15-20 starts, creeping past Vassell in the pecking order, particularly relieved to hear that a bid for Craig Bellamy was turned down. Now he's not just got Vassell to get past, he's got Robinho, Ronaldo and probably Torres, Benzema, Huntelaar and Gomez.

He said 'now robinho is at man city he needs councling.'

The media have put it as 'robinho needs counsling becuase he choose man city.'

my mistake. thought he went directly. like you say never the less he talks Cr@p.

at least now the big money is in the UK with a proper league. that american experiment in the late 70s made lots of top players waste a few years of their carreers in a useless league.
