Yep the new owners love the acemy and have been down to watch them play, they will continue to invest in the academy and the work we do in the local communitee,, and not just in the first team.

Any comments here on La Gazetta Dello Sport's article, that MCity is negotiating buying Buffon for 75 mln euro?

    Not sure.
Hart is decent. I think buffon would be good. Have him here for a couple of years and get hart to learn from him.
Hart is going to be amazing so I dont want anyone coming in to make him unhappy and want to leave.

Yeah there are plenty od stories about (saying £50m transfer fee and £12m a yr wages) but im not sure if we will pay that amount for him. Top class player but not sure with Hart at the club we would spend that uch on him.

One thing i have heard from reliable sources is Diarra is a done deal and its very likely we will get Santa Cruz.

Would be a great move for both sides - MCity gets a top goalkeeper, and Juventud gets plenty of cash. Win-Win-Win situation.

Third winners would be us of course, since we would finally learn how good Buffon really is, seeing him how he would be doing in less friendly environment.

In past years we already saw Top Serie A defenders being less or more exposed in Primera Division (much less friendly ground for them than SerieA), with Samuel being total $h!t, and Cannavaro being just average.

Still, it would really be a crazy transfer, so I doubt it will ever materialize...

I think we just want to break records.
    High English fee ever.
Now we want highest fee ever and highest fee for a keeper.

Buffon would be stupid to tarnish his reputation , remember he went down with Juve.

You know, football players, as well as basketball players, as well as baseball players, as well as american football players... are usually stupid. Why Buffon should be an exception?

He was qouted once saying that if he would leave Juve it would be only for a very big money for him and for for the club, plus it would have to be a foreign team. MCity fits nicely.

He have a reputation , legacy and is paid very well.
2ndly City arent going anywhere at the moment while Juve are few additions short of challenging for the title again.

Now it's very off-topic, but it's still interesting - situation in Thailand gets worse and protests against government are more and more intense, including taking over a main airport in Bangkok by anti-goverment groups. Thaksin Shinawatra is all over the news, with opposition claiming that in reality he is running the country from the back seat. Not surprise then that some days ago I read that he got his money back, with prime minister being his ball boy.

Podolski would be good in the prem. If he's available, I hope we go for him..although, I can understand you not being so interested what with having Robinho, SWP, Elano etc. Not sure you could get away with playing that many little people in the prem!

Ronaldo (I presume you mean the Brazilian) would just be a novelty signing. He ain't gonna play much any more (if at all), sadly

I don't really understand this signing, ok he's good player, but if it would mean that Hughes is gonna play with two holding midfielders and as much limited passing and attacking skills-wise in general like Kompany and Diarra, than IMHO it's a bad idea.

this coming from the guy who thinks Anderson and Rafael will be world class Laugh

he's exactly the sort of player they need, is a top player who would move to them. Is a similar age to the rest of the squad and is clearly ambitious.

If Anderson is worth £18m then Diarra is worth £40m.

Indeed i think they will. Not sure how it relates. Diarra is a good to very good player never will be anything more. I don't see him improving Man City much if at all. So if you've got the money why buy someone like that.

Diarra is not worth 10 mill.

We need a quality left back (cole would do but I don't think he will come) and a quality defensive mid, which is diarra. I think he has the chance to be amazing. The next makelele as viewed by some.

He plays like Makelele...it doesn't mean he will be as good as him, but will have the same limitations Makelele has.
And (Glenn) I take Anderson any day over Diarra...

10 years ago today we lost ot York City and sunk to our lowest ever league position.....now we are the richest club in the world, have broken the British transfer record, have a squad full of international, one of the best academies in europe and are into the last 32 in the UEFA Cup, not bad turn around.
