Well you shouldn't believe ARD's bullshit/propaganda.kroesius wrote:De Guzman wrote:First of all The Olympic team is for U23s. Furthermore all key players of the Belgian full team, are currently involved at the Olympics.
The Belgium squad your u21s beat 2-1 was no way near their Olympic team (only 4 players from thire starting line-up).
Most people from Belgium rate their Olympic team higher than their full team. So their full team minus the players at the Oympics is a pile of trash.sport.ard.de wrote:U21 überzeugt beim Härtetest
So, our U21s beat Belgiums U23`s (Olympic team) comfortably, although missing ten players? - Frightening
I checked the line-ups on your own DFB's website:

HT Germany - Belgium 0-0.
Apart from the Belgian goalkeeper doing a Schumacher on Podolski nothing much happened (amazing he didn't get sent off). Klose missed Germany best chance. Think they'll bring Kuranyi second half.

Re: International Friendlies Thread
Fair scoreline, the Czechs can counter fine but can't control the play, and we can break them by passing through the centre.
Lampard and Barry are both playing quite poorly + too static, Rooney looks to drop deep and get things moving but that can leave us with too little up front, Beckham is slow and predictable though he got the assist, Defoe looks fine on the shoulder of the last man but offers nothing else. Against better teams we should either play pure Beckham style (Heskey), or get real mobility in the midfield. Still, Capello England is reasonably patient on the ball - we just need a better shape in midfield.

Belgium get away with hands & thereafter Sonck should have put them 0-1 in front, but completely missed the ball...
Penalty Germany...
Schweini 1-0
Hope this means Germany start playing football now... Been very poor so far.
eidt: Marin 2-0 finally some decent footy nice interplay between him & Lahm.
