Re: International Friendlies Thread
Capello = McLaren.
All this bullsh*t about he's not scared to make changes and he just uses the same players and tactics.
Why Beckham stayed on for 70 minutes is beyond me. Lampard was dire again yet he still gets picked. Then again even dependable players like Barry looked poor tonight, just a woeful performance all round.

You have to wonder if it is the manager or the FA picking the team. Perhaps the FA insist on the more high profile players starting?!

Why not try that for a game? Plenty of pace and creativity with enough experienced heads required.

Re: International Friendlies Thread
For me, we have to do the Portuguese system : 4-2-3-1
Back four - 2 holding - 3 who are pacy and creative who can interchange plus a target man who can play with his back to goal:
GK ?
4: Richards...Rio...CB...A.Cole/Bridge/Kenny Sansom.............
2:..............Carrick........Hargreaves......................................
3: J.Cole/Bentley....Gerrard/Lampard...A.Young/J.Cole/Rooney
1:...................Ashton/Crouch/Heskey....................................
