When you consider that those two were out for a combined four months last season, he is still going to get a respectable amount of games.

    No chance <Ale>

We'll see, he wouldn't sign without a promise of games, and he's such a shite CB surely Wenger wouldn't be that crazy.

It seems for wenger to sign players these days they have to be one (or more) of the following : black, french, under 20 or injury prone.

Weird, there's no way Fergie would let him go unless he doesn't think he's the same player he was (he wasn't that great to start with). Dependable back up for Evra though.

From Arsenal's perspective I think he's obviously well out in front of Troare on experience alone. Could be in front of Senderos as well but he's normally a disaster at centre back.

All of us know Silvestre is less than average, i expect Fergie see's that aswell. Plus you have Roberto Carlos x10 in your ranks, so why keep him?? I'm just gutted he didn't go to Sunderland.

I always liked him as a left back, less likely to make a costly f*ck up and his crossing is good. Just since Evra's form he's never going to get many games, plus 31 and on the return from an injury it'll be hard to keep up any form.

Roberto Carlos is obviously the future replacement, however if he's not considered ready that means John O'Shea playing there. No

I would have kept him. By selling Silvestre we lose our back-up LB and 3rd/4th choice CB.

Althought he did miss most of last season through injury

    2007/08 - 5(1) apps
    2006/07 - 13(8.) apps

Hopefully this will mean more playing time for Fabio and Evans, plus Silvestre wages + transfer fee = Berbatov. ok
