I think I'd have Neuer as my pick of the goalkeepers. Van der Sar was consistent but I don't remember too many stand out performances, it was a collective defensive effort with the four in front of him (and the defensive midfielders as well). Neuer's performance against Porto was incredible though, although he made a couple of errors in the groups which could count against him. And anyway, we'd just have to endure whining about the EPL if it took a clean sweep.

I'd go for the same outfield picks as Parks though.

Just seen this, It's probably about even. Neither set the final or the semi finals alight. Tevez was normally used as an impact sub though.

What did Adebayor do in the Champions League?

Drogba is there on merit imo.

Ronaldo is a midfielder

Is it only based on the CL? Adeboyor scored against Milan and Liverpool anyway, which is the same amount of knockout goals as Drogba.

Don't get me wrong Drogba's the better striker but he missed half the season.

I think it's only based on the CL. Drogba scored against Valencia away (before they appointed Koeman), twice away to Rosenborg (two well taken goals) and was arguably the player of the semi-finals after the 2nd leg against Pool.

Good choice will be interesting to see how Ronaldo preforms when he returns and how the crowd will react to him also lets see if Messi can try and stay fit for almost the hole season.
