I agree he probably shouldn't be in ther but you obviously are forgetting his performances against the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid

Oh, he outplayed a midfield who never bothered to get out of their own half. Like, wow. Forgive me, but didn't Juve get done for cheating last season, and weren't they fucking terrible against your lot? Hardly worthy of a place in the best XI in Europe, particularly ahead of Deco, Pirlo and others who actually won something...

Deco deserved it more but towards the end of last seson he was superb for us.

He also forced his way into the world cup squad ahead of some very good players and played very well.

Take out Puyol, Gerrard & Cesc and put in Toure, Juninhio and one of Iniesta or Riquelme.

Toure had a very average world cup though which may hve put a few people off including him.

In world cup years its often very difficult to draw up these lists as some players that play for top clubs often don't have as good national teams as other players

My opinion but Toure was your best player in the Champions league campaign & I'm not saying that because he's one of the only one's I like.

Yeah he was, but Arsenal did play a "defensive system" but lets not get into that.

You're right, Toure wasn't so hot at the World Cup, but he hardly got a chance to show what he was all about, given the team and group he was in.

The World Cup ruins any possibility of making a proper judgment of these things.

On their day they're as good as each other, however Canna's days are soon to be in the past.

He was solid in the league for Juve but their record in the CL was far from impressive. Lets face it, he got the award for captaining Italy to the WC final, if it wasn't for that he wouldn't even have made the top 30

It was a WC year and it happens. But yeah. Cannavaro has another season in him before i feel we should let him go.

Fair enough for most them, as they were involved in some of the defining moments of the season and at least above average at most other times.

I would have left Gerrard out...I can't remember who the other candidates were in his position but I know I didn't vote for him.

Juninhio, C Ronaldo. Maybe another central midfielder like Iniesta, Riquelme.
