    Hannover 0-0 Cottbus FT

    Borussia Dortmund - Bayern Munich
    Hamburg - Karlsruhe
    Hertha Berlin - Arminia Bielefeld
    Hoffenheim - Borussia M'gladbach
    Stuttgart - Bayer Leverkusen
    Werder Bremen - Schalke

    Cologne - Eintracht Frankfurt
    Bochum - Wolfsburg

Where have all the Germans gone? Three great games today and there isn't even a matchday topic. By all accounts the game yesterday was dire, and Dortmund have just taken the lead! A delightful finish from Blaszczykowski.

    We need Demichelis.

Why Van Buyten is still even at the club is a mystery to me.

Van Bommel has been sent off. A bad tackle got him a booking, and he just got a second one for hitting/catching a Dortmund player in the face. I'm not sure he meant it, would need to see it again. Bayern up against it now, and van Bommel has hardly portrayed himself as captain material so far.

You'd think a ref like Fandel wouldn't be that easily influenced by the Dortmund crowd. Soft 2nd yellow for van Bommel after only 22 mins. We are screwed.

The Dortmund players, especially Kehl have been making a meal of every little touch. VB's 2nd yellow was nothing, fact.

    Effenberg, what does 'Duseltor' mean?

Helmes has scored for Leverkusen, HSV lead thanks to an own-goal, Hoffenheim and Hertha are both one up as well.

edit: Bielefeld have equalised against Hertha.

A goal scored thanks to a fair amount of luck. Could be scrappy or deflected.

Dear me, Toni gets pushed and pulled in the box, goes down a little easily, but he gets booked for it when he probably should have been given a penalty.

Leverkusen winning 0-2 in Stuttgart, Gekas probably putting the game beyond the home side.

    Schalke equalise through Westermann.

For me the biggest problem with this fast paced 1-touch style that Klinsmann wants is that the Bayern players aren't that technically good enough to make it work perfectly. Too many poor passes, not-quite-there 1-2s, or instances of bad control.

If Klinsmann got a Spanish team fit enough to be able to play this system (because the players in La Liga are used to a slower pace) then it would be fantastic.

Good result, considering. Now with Demichelis back and spirits high we have a good chance of getting three points against Bremen at home next week.

Hoffenheim are clear at the top of the league, for one day at least! Difficult starts to the season for many of the bigger sides, which explains why they have all been dropping points.

I'd just like to say (regarding our game) that Raphael Schäfer would have been drawn and quartered for that first goal.

Now please, apply the same to Jensi-Mausi, even if it's just for five minutes, go on, say that he has no skills whatsoever; you can of course retract it later...

Sort of let the ball slip through his fingers. Not quite butter-finger-James-esque, but close. It was saveable.

At least none of the big teams have taken advantage and opened up much of a gap on you. Just need to make sure you bounce back next week.
