For all the doubters, I guess the difference between Capello and Mclaren is evidently clear now....

What a game young Theo had, I always rated this kid. Now he should become a regular for club and country.

However, you can't take away the fact that Croatia's had an absolute shocker and basically gave up after the second England goal. No doubt the press will be drooling over the result tomorrow, and all the old hype, excessive expectations and misplaced cockiness will be back. Deja vu.....

I think Wallcott is a balanced young lad and will not get carried away with the outcome of this game

I was watching the Scotland game, so missed most of this match, but fantastic result. I seen Walcott's third goal, and the touch and pass and Rooney was delightful.

To be fair to McLaren he did bring Heskey back into the team when he could (we won both games comfortably if I remember). He is the difference, he allows Rooney, J Cole to play their natural game. I'm 100% sure of this now.

Lampard's disallowed goal was brilliant. Until the sending off England were better but not brilliant whilst Croatia were poor. After the second goal England were excellent and Croatia were even worse.

Yep - a fullback kicked the ball into his own CB, a Croatian had a rush of blood to the head and their keeper was $h!t instead of ours.

Not enough skill sto be second striker, too poor with the cross/final ball to be a winger and too small to be a CF - will get loads of hype for this but can never live up to it.

    Croatia were abysmal.

CB's painfully slow, keeper is $h!t and Modric cannot play as part of a 2 man CM against half decent oppo.

And I guess now Sven's gamble of taking Theo to the world cup does not look that stupid, does it?

I still believe that if Rooney had not got himself red carded, Theo would have played as a sub in that game, and could have been the surprise of the tournament.... thats why he was taken.
