Niger has a team as well, but nowhere near as good as Nigeria.

I have wanted to watch the new Nigeria for some time now since they ditched that overrated german(Otto ). Supposed to be a really good team now and I think they are the best hope for Africa along with the Ivory Coast. No point in asking about France but what was Nigeria like?
I saw them play the Republic of Ireland at Craven Cottage. They were well organised side, yet unbelievably their coach Shuaibu Amodu is under fire. There were calls for him to be sacked. Absolutely crazy. They deserve to fail to qualify for South Africa if they sack Amodu.
The first choice keeper is Austin Ejide and Vincent Enyeama is the second choice - lost his place last year, but not bad keeper. Amazing thing about Otto's mate is that the flops of ACN 2008 are largely same team that won every match in the first stage of qualification. Surely coaching has something to do with it.
I was at that game as well, Uche was excellent as was the right back. Leftback could've been sent off twice.
I would imagine Amodu having failed twice before when he had he job has had poor friendly results, drawing with Mozambique in a tough group that has Tunisia as well might have something to do with it. That was how it was explained to me by a Nigerian friend.

It's more to do with Nigerian mentality. Amodu has failed previously, but this time the set up is right. He has a good set up that utilises young coaching talent, such as Daniel Amokachi. Amodu did exceptionally well in the first phase of qualification. He took the Super-chickens as they were dubbed under Vogts and made them soar again. They became the class of African qualification - first phase. Egypt drew their opening match in Cairo as well. I haven't heard demands for Shehata's head though and if anyone is stupid enough to do so they deserve to be banned from attending football matches until they grow some brain cells. Nigeria needs stability; their media could bring down Amodu and that will be a pity. Judge him after his mission is completed. If he fails to take the Super-Eagles to South Africa then he has to go, but not now. Friendlies do not matter if there is reason to the selections. Nigeria did pretty well in this round of friendlies. Amodu deserves a proper chance. You'ld think that after the horrors of the previous regime they would understand just how much they owe to Amodu. Sacking him now would be crazy.

Diaby ahead of Vieira needs to be evaluated. Will he ever play? Just one thing though, don't ask him to defend set-pieces.
Domenech will play this team:
-----Mandanda
Sagna--Gallas-Squillaci-Abidal
---------Lass-Toulalan
-----------Gourcuff
----Ribery--------Henry
-----------Benzema
Abidal at left is pointless. I'd really love Evra at LB, he is far better offensively.
