    F@cking Liverpool Doh
Gerrard scores a goal to give me some much needed fantasy points, but then they chuck away an easy clean sheet for Reina Grr

    btw, from the BBC commentary:
2116: The cheeky DJ at Cluj played 'Glory Glory Man United' before the teams arrived on the pitch. Further needle comes from the home fans, who unfurl a banner saying: "Roses are red, Chelsea are blue, my grandma can take spot-kicks better than you."

    lol!

    Cluj-Chelsea 0-0 FT.
Some decent chances for both teams around the end, but nothing really worth mentioning, besides Drogba's injury.

I told you (and other people) too, even if they didn't deserve a point from Werder, they are quite good at home, and they were my favorites to win against PAO.

Well played Bremen. One of their better away performances that I've seen in Europe recently and they defended solidly (for Bremen). I thought they matched Inter pretty well. Does anyone know how many supporters were in attendance? The stadium looked half empty.

We were extremely poor. Cluj set out for the 0-0 and we played right into their hands. Doh

Our left side was in particular woeful at times. Malouda is everything that a winger should not be, i.e. he receives a pass, does a Cruyff turn and then plays it back to the full back or Mikel.

Bridge isn't on the same level as Ashley Cole in neither attack nor defence, so it was baffling to see him start tonight. Otherwise the defence was fine.

Without Joe Cole or Deco, we have nobody who wants to get the ball and thread passes through the heart of their defence.

Drogba now looks certain to join Carvalho, Essien, Deco and Joe Cole on the injury list for the next few weeks. Doh

Anelka's chance at the end Doh

MOTM Mikel. Everyone else was very sub-standard (though Terry & Alex had a fairly comfortable evening to be fair).

Seems I missed the fun yesterday so I'll add this, it's the very first link in google if you search "scholes tackling":

Also I read an article about Scholes by Jamie Redknapp, standard bum kissing routine, great passing, vision etc. It's a good article though, link here (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/columnists/columnists.html?in_article_id=563105&in_page_id=1951), and I found one particular quote I really liked and found incisive. I'll leave you with that quote.

"It makes me laugh when people say that Scholes can't tackle. He can, he knows what he is doing. I spoke to Roy Keane about him and he agreed — when Scholesy leaves something on an opponent or goes through someone, he means it. That bite in the tackle is not mistimed. It's for real.

Just so the manu fans understand I am not celebrating a player getting injured, but does a player who recklessly and repeatedly fouls other players deserve sympathy when they get fouled and injured themselves? Does vinnie jones after committing several fouls during a game then gets injured himself deserve it? Does Robbie Savage? On the other hand does Gary Lineker after never fouling anyone deserve getting injured from a foul? Liniker deserves sympathy, however vinnie jones and scholes type of players getting injured deserve little sympathy, and in some way they do deserve it for their dirty play.

Yeah, the stadium was more than half empty... about 30,000 only turned up. Thats pathetic stats for Inter, I would have expected about 50K, which is our average at Guiseppe Meazza.

    Bremen played very well ok

Love their build up play, and yesterday Diego was MOTM IMO. Weise, Naldo, Frings, Ozil and Pizzaro also had a good game.

This team could go far if they play as well defensively as they did yesterday.
