what would happen, if Europe's leagues could Empty what would happen, if Europe's leagues could

    Post by Ä Wed Oct 15, 2008 4:03 pm

play their games ANYWHERE they wanted (in Europe) ?

    think about it

the underlying assumption being, that there would be free and easy access to stadia to play in

    ie

the Bundesliga could decide to play certain games in England, Spain, France....

for instance, HSV vs SChalke could be played in Amsterdam; Bremen vs Bayern in the Emirates STadium....

whereas the EPL could try to retaliate by having Liverpool vs Chelsea played in Dortmund with Juve vs Milan trying to win fans for Italian football in the Nou Camp

    think about it Smile

Probably nothing, because the fans would prevent stupid marketing ideas like this from happening.

The Portuguese playing their Cup Final in Paris is the only time something like this happened me thinks & that was because of a large Portuguese community overthere.

the idea may not be as far-fetched as that

remember, something similar is about to happen in the airline-industry

the EU Open Sky Agreement now allows, for instance, Lufthansa to fly directly to New York from Heathrow

in turn BA is thinking of offering flights to the USA from Frankfurt

will be interesting to see who wins this war

Barca-Real would be a hit ANYWHERE

    maybe even ManU vs Liverpool

    BUT

    many myths could quickly die

and if Bremen were to entertain the great British public with a goal fest against Bayern, British fans would quickly wonder why they cannot watch the same between British teams

    A LOT could change

Well Man United vs Chelsea in some asian city would work. Doubt that Feyenoord vs Ajax in Stockholm would work though.

    lol!

maybe Barca vs Real or United vs Liverpool would be a hit anywhere, but it wouldn't be fair on the loyal local fans.

Just because Germans are sick of the pointless German leagues doesn't mean the rest of us aren't happy with the way things are.

If you want to see good football in Germany you have to do it yourselves ok

    think about it

I know for certain that any president moving Barcelona v Real out of the Camp Nou would last about a second in charge...

Mandriles should be used to it as well after years of rubbish football that you see every fortnight at the Bernabeu.

Well if you are a glory hunter and only watch them when things are going good then it wasn't boring. But remember that the criticism/whinging/whislting/booing by the fans was so much that Capello gave the middle finger to his own fans!

This season there has been booing in a few games and it's only just started. Maybe it's just that mandriles are extremely fickle or that they really don't like the Cr@p football the team are playing, I'd say for the majority it's the latter.

I've been watching every game for donkey's years. Even the 4 Years of Blanco. Salute

Not quite sure what your barking on about Golsud, Barca played shite football all least season and for the beginning of this season. A couple of good displays + goals, you cules must have a short memory ok
