Ironically we've been conceeding goals left right and centre this season, which in comparison to previous seasons is a worry.
If we decide to play more expansive football due to our players and formation, we have to take advantage of the opportunities we create...
Whilst Torres has been prolific for us, he is again far from composed in front of goal like Rush, Fowler and Owen proved to be, however his ability always creates chances...
If we are to win the league this season... as many pundits have said, we need Torres... whilst Kuyt and co have in the mean time filled the void.... today proves we cannot rely upon their consistancy.
I expect 9 points from our next 3 games... but we must cross our fingers hoping Fernando doesn't get anymore injuries if we are truely to consider the title a realistic ambition.

You might win the league this season (and personally I hope you do, but mostly because it's been awhile since Liverpool were Champions), but if you do and carry on in the manner you have done, it won't be because you're pretty and attacking. It'll be because you are extremely organised.
In the first half you capitalised on our poor defending for an early lead, and then there was little else in the way of attacking impetus, looking more to suffocate the game than finish us off.
As for the the first 20 minutes of the second half, that was your best period, but you should temper this with the fact that we had made some key changes in the half time period and changed our tactics and personel.

We are still short of 2 maybe 3 players to really win the EPL in my view.
Your assesment is fairly spot on. I thought we were sloppy and out of sync in the first half after the goal. We didn't take the chances that were presented and as we all know a 1-0 lead means nothing more often then not if you do take advantage of good play and score the second goal.
Anyway.. congrats on last night The 2nd part of the 2nd half espically when Lennon came on you looked very good. As a fan of Pav, that goal againist us(I know he scored againist Bolton) will do him the world of good and I can see him banging them in now on. My brother was at WHL and has been a gloating twat. Though I'm glad he is asleep now as I don't have to hear him harp on about it

You saw Dirk with your own eyes? How was it?
