That French guy at Portsmouth was awful, almost got them relegated before Redknapp rescued them.

Sammy Lee was and always be an assistant, rather than an actual manager.

Les Reed is a definite. That was just weird.
But not sure you can include Souness - he had some decent times, e.g. at Blackburn, as well as the baaad.

He probably had more time and more talented players to work with than Sammy Lee, so yes.

Did you see our squad in 2002/03? How on earth he managed to get that relegated I'll never know.
He then took us into the Championship, with a squad twice as good as anyone elses...(Carrick, James, Defoe, Connolly, Etherington) etc...and then we drew at home with Sheffield United and lost to Rotherham. We only beat Preston thanks to a last minute goal in our first game!
