In December 2007, had officially signed for Bayern Munich for the release clause of $18m,signing a 4 and a half year deal with the German side.[1] Apart from Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and A.C. Milan were also interested in signing the Brazilian youngster.[2] Breno refused to sign with Real Madrid after they wanted a bone analysis to prove his young age.[3]

Yeah but TM...if the club really wanted him, they would've just signed him regardless, and wouldn't have asked. He probably wanted to go somewhere who really wanted him, and had the faith to believe him...seems fair enough to me ok Ale.

You Madrid fans cried a river when Madrid spent 30 million euro to sign him. Is he worth that price now?

You bet man. in the start i gave him a couple of games but he kept getting injuried and when he finally got a couple of games without injury he was immense. now i consider him worth it especially if he can even improve. he doesnt have any real faults except that he can be careless at times but from a defensive stand point that was good buy.

Regarding Breno i certainly where we were coming from.we have not been lucky with our defensive players injuries Pepe,Metzelder,Woodgate,Cicinho have all had injuries for a long time. i understand if he was hurt by that but i dont really care. anyway next year we will have Garay so we will be fine but he could have been useful this year i suppose.

Dont pay any attention to kas, he's a C0ck, just like the rest of the cules Wink

He was immense in his first season, and has been okay this season. Still not worth 30m€. 20m€ perhaps <Ale>

He has one major flaw IMHO, he always tries to get ahead of the the attack or jumps ahead, when he doesn't have to.

    I can understand both sides.

He is a talent and if in 2-3 years he has developed into a player like Demichelis then I don't think anybody's going to care whether he's 21 or 24. If he doesn't make it we'll sell him for a little less than he cost us (12m).

For me its not a question of talent. he is prob very talented and it would surprise me if we will look back and say why we didnt get him. for me its also about organisation and not just buying players without any idea behind them but only because some other top club is following them, in this case Bayern.

Of course the club want to know his age, this will affect future contract negotiations, length... value etc, expectancy level of performance with respect to age, picking a time to resell to recoup investment.... for all these reasons should there be any question of age, their is a valid arguement to ask for confirmation.

If the kid can provide all relevant paperwork which cannot be scrutinized as anything other as legitamate, sure then Real are being paranoid... on the otherhand if the documents were suspicious or lacked certain documentation.... then they have every right to ask the question.

oh $h!t i didnt see that this was bone check was done to find out his age. Embarassed
i figured it was checking for injuries. that is truly a joke then. what idiots they are. first of all if he is a bit older then that is not even a bad thing because younger players tend to be more inconsistent anyway.
Real Madrid just toke another L.
