To be fair, Chelsea are more likely to win..

Cutting edge has been our issue with Benitez, with Torres out... we're no better off than the last 4 seasons.

Chelsea in the league with Scolari have looked superb Ale

Of course i hope for the best, however man for man on paper, do look far superior ok

You beat Man Utd without Usain scratch

Torres has got a very good record in the KO stages of the CL - that proves he's world class, doesn't it? scratch

It does if you repeat it for a few seasons yes - shame Thierry never made it really but he gave it his best shot and that's all anyone can ask ok

Pierre has already given detailed explanations for why all the goals don't count so Usian will have to do it against defences who don't let him score on purpose this season

    How unfair!

Defenders let Torres score but play out of their skin when they face Cheva, Sheva, Paddy Laughing

Oh dear - the 1st has a great record at every level he has played and i won't even embarrass you by discussing the latter 2.

When has Cheva ever scored more than 30 a season?

You reckon he's better than Torress, so surely there must be something unfair going on for Toress to be outscoring him every season.

I won't discuss the other two coz they are both retired. Wouldn't be fair on them.

    Can't pick one.

Gerrard as an AM, certainly not CM, Kuyt for the important goals, torres for the pace to run in behind, Babel for impact of the bench or Reina for his consistency and presence.

Cheva scored 19 in 30 for Lecce in Serie A one season (03/04) but has never played more than about 24 in a season since due to injuries and clueless managers.

He has twice the talent of torres but its all about strength and pace nowadays - ronaldo's Ballon d'or win will confirm this.

This season I've been surprised by Liverpool time after time, against United when we went a goal down in the 4th minute I was seriously worried. The comeback against City was unbelieveable, at half time I never expected that. Wigan I was in doubt at half time again but yet again we came back and got the 3 points.

However..I think Chelsea away will be a step just too far for us. If we had a fully fit squad to choose from, i.e with Torres, Skrtel, a fully fit Gerrard and Alonso (maybe they will be but doubt it) then i'd say ok maybe we can actually go there and end Chelsea's unbeaten run but you look at the Chelsea side and even though they are missing around 5 or 6 key players they can still go and win 5-0 away from home, be it against a poor Boro side, it was still a tremendous performance where a team that don't always play together gelled tremendously well.

Like most Liverpool fans I'd kill for a draw, it would keep us in the race and buy us some time until we get everyone back from injury. A fit Torres is a must for us this season, I know we got away with not having him for long against United but you can only get away with it a couple of times in a season, we've seen that he's the difference sometimes, most notably in then Merseyside derby where he went from a fairly average performance and in a few minutes scored a brace to get us the 3 points. He did a similar thing at City to get us the points there as well.

If Gerrard, Keane and Alonso are all fit enough to start the game then I think we have a reasonable shot, the team is definately capeable of getting a point there, I think we've got a much better chance of getting something there than in recent seasons but if i was going to make a prediction i'd go for a narrow win for Chelsea, but if it's a draw no one will be surprised in the least.

I think we are going to win, mainly because I don't ever watch a liverpool match these days that I think we won't win when the game starts.

No doubt the chelsea and man u fans think the same

I don't really care how good chelsea's record is at the wonderful stadium they have.

Think we could win. Hope for a draw. Realistically expect a Chelsea win.

Just don't want to see us ripped apart which is my biggest fear.
