De Cler is the most important player for Holland...who'd have expected that.

And I still think Kuyt instead of RVP will bring more balance to the team....although I barely can imagine not playing RVP....

vdVaart was in the better position I guess but risky pass and nice finish from Huntelaar.

Lovely finish from van Persie, he was just onside. The front three have done well together and van der Vaart has also played well. Ireland look really poor at the moment though.

First 90 minutes in Oranje for Huntelaar :

1 disallowed goal (should have stood)
    2 assists
    2 goals

....not bad for a first timer Wink

(I still thought De Cler was the best man on the pitch....and also that we're *very* lucky that Van der Sar hasn't retired yet)

@ Rai (and other Ajax fans)

Aren't you afraid Huntelaar has performed *too* well in this match....the transfer window is still open.

Ajax isn't a one man team....but without Huntelaar it would be a whole different ball game....

    @ all Dutchies

does anyone know what the average age of the Holland team was at the final whistle ? It looked frightfully young...

ive been suggesting since mid-april that man u sign Huntelaar to replace RVN on the united board and nobody took it seriously. Hopefully now theyll see hes gd enough, but i agree that itb b better for everyone if he stayed in holland for at least one more year. Any idea wat sort of money ajax would b lookin for?

    @ alexslammer
having a young team finish an friendly is a good thing cos its helps them develop and i think thts wat a friendy should be for: Trying young players. Thats one thing tht annoys me about england and (to some degree)ireland. theyre both playin tried and tested players rather than newbies

Holland destroying Ireland it seems, just watched the highlights of the match. Congrats!

Good day for us. Looks like both of our main rivals in the qualification, the Czechs and Ireland, have lost clearly today. I expect the Irish to be stronger in the qualification though, when they have all of their players at their proposal.
