    cheers

the morons at Real have sacked the blonde angel

and replaced him with the Spurs ex-top manager: RAMOS

    lol!

no doubt he Spaniard will give Real a temporary boost, like new appointments often do

the long-term effect will amount to nothing though

    after all

the squad will still be of UEFA Cup quality

there are far too many Dutchies in the team

and the board is full of morons <Ale>

let's hope Schalke, Stuttgart or Bremen now make a move <Ale> <Ale>

Can't argue about most of your statements. But can you explain to use why Schuster is so tactically clueless? He came up with one of the dumbest formations since Luxemburgo's "cuadrado mágico".

Explain to me how a 4-3-3 with two central attackers and no right wing was supposed to work. And why would he expect UEFA quality players to be able to succeed in such a nutcase formation?

when Bernd was still at Getafe, just before joining Real, he was almost begging ANY Bundesliga club to sign him

he made it perfectly clear that he would have preferred Bayern over Real and even seemed to be tempted to manage Wolfsburg

in the end, no Bundesliga club made a move though Doh

the problem for Bernd is that his reputation in Germany is not the best

people think of him as a stubborn eccentric who is more trouble than anything

when he was a player at Bayer, a Ruhr club, he would drive to the training ground in a WHITE Rollce Royce with chauffeur Laugh

NOBODY in Germany drove an ostentacious car like that in those days

even at Bayern people were suspicious that Kahn had to drive a Ferrari

as a manager, Bernd was also not the biggest success at the two Cologne clubs, partly because he never understood that his players were still vastly inferior to anything he could still do despite his advanced age

older generations will always think of Schuster, the Nationalmannschaft TRAITOR, of course

    he has no STallgeruch anymore

still, I think he would be brilliant at Stuttgart or Schalke

    -------------

I don't know why Schuster chose those formations

but suspect he was selecting players and tactics based on NON-football reasons

ie, to appease the board, the fans, the media....

What a pity he didn´t made it at Real. However, I`m not so sure Schuster wants to return to Germany, he loves Spain. Maybe he will work for one of the smaller more peaceful clubs again.

Anyway, there was a good article about Schuster and his somewhat difficult personality in "Weser Kurier" this morning.

Bernd didn't want to stay at the club, hence all these desperate comments recently. He couldn't handle the pressure at a big club, let alone get the tactics right.

He only won the title due to Capello's hard work, he kept the same tactics from Capello's season, and just ran with it.

    Good riddance.

Yeah, I remember an interview he gave in German TV shortly after he got the job at Real. He was asked if he was happy now, but instead of a loud and clear "Yes", he just answered that he wouldn´t know whether that really is what he wants. (He also hinted he didn't like many of the things going on behind the scenes like power games, intrigues ect. pp.) The reporter seemed very surprised about his answer, for a moment he didn't know what to say. In my opinion Schuster is often too straightforward in telling what really thinks and feels. That can be dangerous, in this world you better play a role that fits to the game you're playing.

Schuster was pretty useless. Poor signings, poor tactical formations.

Hope to see Ramos back in Spain.

Not sure if he'll be a success. It'll be easier though in Spain for him as he knows the league inside out.

For a man who played Modric as a defensive midfielder, he better pull his socks up

I was one of the big pro-shusters on here and i gave him some time before i went against him. his personality is quite bad allthough i enjoy his german humor even if spaniards dont. in his time in Real Madrid Shuster was rather clueless allthough i gues if i try to be objective there wasnt balance in the team. but we all knew that and he couldnt get the best of it imo.
If there is one thing that i have learned supporting Real Madrid it is that nothing is impossible if you have the wil. some times the circumstances aren't a perfect match and this was most certainly the case here.

    Timo
Shuster had nothing to do with most signings which he complained about from his first season and then again in the summer when we were on a wild chase for Ronaldo. under a better organisation like one in Sevilla he might have done better.

Schuster seems to be interested in moving back to Germany

his old mother still lives there, ditto his daughter...

    in fact

apparently, Stuttgart made him an offer in 2006 already

Stuttgart will also need a new manager in the winter or summer (at the latest) and Bernd's home-town of Augsburg is in the south of Germany as well

    +

his pretty daughter's boyfriend is currently the 4th goalie at Schalke, at the tender age of 19

Post by Jaime Thu Dec 11, 2008 7:51 pm
