Babel definitely is and will go on to have a better career than young (probably at a club other than liverpool).

    No

    Come on COTR.

I think its time to be honest with yourself.

Young is miles better! I can't think of anything that Babel does as well as Young

I can only refer you to my penis is enormous' post on page four

Aside from that you will just have to wait for me to be right

(assuming babel is not my chevanton)

That's not very helpful Rolling Eyes

I will add that I think It is quite easy to selectively remember how good a player is when they are absent from the team. You remember some good things, extrapolate them in your mind, forget the bad things and suddenly they are wonderful. Absence making heart grow fonder and all. Happens especially when players in the team in their position are not doing well. Also with young players - you see good traits, assume they will only get better and that bad traits will go away.

I used to do that with Luke Moore. I kept thinking he'll start scoring loads once he gets a run, when he comes back from injury, thought him a bigger talent than Gabby. Needless to say, it never came about.

I've seen enough performances from Babel in BIG GAMES to convince me he is a rare talent. He's made important contributions and scored in Champions League knockout stages, he's scored winning goals against Arsneal, Man UTd and Chelsea. I'm not going to take anything away from Young because I think he's an exceptional player too, but if Pierre and TS applied their flawed Henry logic to him they might just as well say he is great against the Evertons and the Portsmouths but never does it in the big games.

My "flawed" Henry logic is in the context of debating whether he was the best in the world, the best of his generation, or one of the best ever *smirk*.

The Young debate is simply whether he's a very good player, i.e. top 4 quality.

    All about subtleties Glenda.
