Post by Batman Tue Feb 03, 2009 8:58 pm

Yesterday Robbie Keane joined a long list of attacking players that Rafa has signed and then shortly let go.

    For example:

    Garcia
    Nunez
    Morientes
    Gonzalez
    Fowler
    Bellamy
    Crouch
    Leto
    Voronin
    Pennant
    Keane

Was this because the player was shit before he signed for Liverpool or did Rafa make a good player become shit?

    Erm

    You Decide

    Who will be next?

    Spoiler:

Sinama-Pongolle was not a Rafa signing but he also let him go. He is still only 24, i think he could have made a good back up striker for Liverpool.

Garcia - Success. Stayed for years. Left as he was homesick

    Nunez - Manucho

Morientes - Has failed to reignite his career ever since. Possibly just caught shevchenko syndrome

Gonzalez - Cheap and failed to live up to the hype

    Fowler - A mascot

Bellamy - A purposeful stop gap signing due to lack of funds

Crouch - Big success, left because we have the best striker in the world

Leto - How many kids has fergie sold ?

    Voronin - Free

Pennant - Good player, wrong attitude

    Keane - Rafa's worst signing

Kuyt will hopefully be next and yes Pongolle was one of his biggest mistakes since joining us

Nobody on this list matches the unique shitness of Alan Smith Wink

Smith, Dong, Forlan, Nani, Anderson, Manucho etc etc etc

I think that's very harsh on Morientes as was really good with Madrid in La Liga(the then best league in the world).

Batman you really are a waste of space. Otto's 'How rubbish are England?' threads get a lot of replies, doesn't make them valuable contributions.

Once again after reading the answer to the question in one of my earlier posts you decide to make a whole thread about it. You've asked this question before and had it answered more than adequately.

The attacking players Rafa has signed haven't exactly flopped, the likes of £3m signing Mark Gonalez might not have worked out as well as Ronaldo or Robben, but they cost much less. He has signed a few players that have worked out and a few that haven't. When you sign a player for £5-10m you get a different quality to signing players for £18m+

When Ferguson works with a similar budget you get the likes of Kleberson, Djemba-Djemba and co.

The only manager who has a proven track record in these types of signings is Arsene Wenger, I don't think many managers have done much better than Rafa while working under similar constraints and expectations. I would certainly like to see a Ferguson side without all the players that cost £15m or more and see how they get on. Keane aside, all the players you listed cost less than £9m and pretty much in each case we got exactly what we paid for, in each case United have a player who cost twice as much if not more.

But you already know all of this, you're just being deliberately antagonistic.

Yet because there are Arsenal and West Ham supporters among the admins Dickanio and Agooner roam free despite the least contributory posting record of any human beings on any internet forum anywhere in the history of internet forums.

To be fair Batman is free to contribute. I wasnt intending on banning him. And this is minimal in comparison with the amount of abuse that you fork out on those two.
Unless of course, you were implying that my words carry far more weight than yours, in which case, fair enough. <Ale>

If the staff here actually maintained some sort of consistency in their admonishing and banning then I wouldn't have to constantly abuse the retarded posters.

But while people are allowed to keep posting here solely because they share club allegiance with the admins then you can expect me to point out the double standards and pathetically ego-driven nature of this board's moderation.

Your words carry virtually no weight compared to mine, have no fear about that...
