While I agree with much of what Benitez says about Ferguson, he is rather playing into his rival's hands. Hate him or loathe him, Ferguson is rather good at media manipulation. He will be delighted to have a word fight to get into with Rafa.

You could argue that Fergie has lost by starting it in the 1st place as its a sign that the pressure is getting to him rather than a calculated attempt at mind games.

Mind you the pressure would get to you if your team were as goal shy as fergie's and you were relying on Berbatov (massive flop) tevez (clearly unhappy), Rooney (mr consistency) and an out of sorts ronaldo to score the goals that will deliver a title.

I am usually completely indifferent to Liverpool but on the other hand there is no Liverpool fan alive, not even one born a stone's throw from Anfield who attends all games home and away who wants them to land the title more than me.

the Keegan moment was an emotional response, Rafa's reply was clearly planned and thoroughly thought through.

I don't think anyone will care. Clearly the fixtures were a joke and the dates are known beforehand even if the opponents are not in the cl. But in the end the second half plays into our hands. Just like when they banned Ronaldo for nothing, or Rooney for a dodgy pre season red, it worked out as they were fresh for key games in the prem at vital times.

Ferguson and United generally do think they are above the law, how can Mascherano be sent off but then all United's players constantly crowd round the ref and Ronaldo is somehow allowed to start a fight at half time going into the tunnel against Boro? funny that.
