puyol and alves are one card away from missing the 2nd leg vs chelsea or the CL finals

They both picked up stupid yellow cards, last night.

if Marquez was already on a yellow and the game was already in the bag, he would never have picked up a yellow card, no wonder he is the brains of our back four.

What happens if they get a card in the 2nd leg? Do they miss the final or do they get rescinded?

I thought they changed the rule so players don't miss the final any more?

i love how abidal came, and just slotted right back in the team, i thought he would need 2/3 games to get back to up to match fitness.

in 2/3 games he should be back, to playing like he did before he got injured.

I think he will be needed next season, because as you always say, it very difficult for a player to maintain the soft of form messi is on, for more two seasons in a row, so we will need someone to add that X factor when messi he having is off season, next year.

Yup, that's true. But IMO, we will make one big money signing this summer, but it will be only one, even if Etoo goes. Whether that is Villa, Ribery, or Cesc, I'm not sure. The other 2 signings they make will be cheaper ones.

i agree that we will only sign one crack next season, so eto'o better sign his new contract, so we can focus on getting ribery.

I wouldn't be too unset if we got ribery and Madridz got villa, (though they won't )

Also, it's worth pointing out that although Ribery rumours were strong a few weeks ago, and the player himself supposedly seems keen on a move, I don't think it's a very likely transfer if we're being realistic. Unless Bayern change managers and the new guy is willing to let Ribery go. Even then, he'll have to fight the wishes of Hoeness and co.

Good to see Motta doing well. I liked this guy, he got injured often but he was good on the ball and tried hard when called upon.

Yeah but Ribery cost around 25 mil Euros when Bayern bought him and his stock has risen since then I would say so it wouldn't surprise if they wanted at least 40 mil Euros. Not sure Barca are going to do that when they already have Henry in that position and with the hype he has gotten not sure Barca will even go for it.
In that sense im glad for the hype Henry has gotten since it might end preventing Barca from getting a much much better player.

we can find the 40 Mil euro, the question is does pep want him, i really hope so.

The question is not whether you can find the money. You're not getting him. We don't need the money. We just made 40m in the CL ourselves. According to a new report, Bayern will buy 2-3 players this summer.

What are you talking about re. hype for Henry?

He's performed well this season and is getting the praise he deserves...I certainly can't see anyone going over the top calling him a great player and few would put him ahead of Messi, Etoo, Iniesta, Xavi, Alves in terms of how crucial they are to our team's success.

I mean that if the papers paint a good enough pictures of how Henry has done well it might seem strange allthough the papers have proven to be able to go 180 degrees if needed. Robben was lauded not so long ago and now with Perez perhaps wanting to sell him Marca has changed their opinion of him. Hopefully they won't turn on Henry.

The game at gefate marks the beginning of our 3 games in 7 days run.

i wonder how pep will rotate the squad are if we will rotate it all, are just continue to put out our strongest XI or something close to it, and just hope the players keep going on adrenaline

This is really strange...I wonder if he has a clause in his contract saying we have to pay either: the player a huge bonus for the team winning titles if he has made a certain number of league appearances, or Arsenal a further fee once he has made a certain number of league appearances.

The arsenals fans are going to get upset about this, but he simply offers nothing when he is on the pitch, he isn't like iniesta whose talent is of such, that he can contribute without, scoring a goal.
