WOW!!!
WHAT A DAY!!!
First, we were not quite so high up, i'm optimistic the photos will be developed well!
Great game, a really good game, PIRLO - Should have scored!! Bad miss Andy! Peruzzi played a fantastic match, some sensational agility and reflexes!
BUT, the star of the day....OLIVERA! Nice goal, but DID YOU SEE THAT RUN?!!! He recieved a fantastic reception from the Milanisti when he came on for Gila. For Olivera - what a game! A goal, nice linkup with Kaka, an incredible solo run and right at the end of the match denied by a block from Ambrosini's pass.
I have to say that the minutes tribute for Facchetti was observed well by all the stadium.
Lazio troubled us with their pace, i am still not fully confidence in our teams defensive abilities, there were good efforts from Pandev, Ledesma, Rocchi and Zauri throughout the game.
I see the Inzaghi disallowed goal, and it was a goal. He was NEVER offside, at the time obviously we cannot see to make a decision but i saw it on TV later in the evening and it was definately a goal.
Still, it was a great experience, i have never been to a Milan first match of the season before and it was incredible. The stadium wasn't full, there were still large areas of empty seats we could see but overall a great result and a great experience. Of course, they read out the scores from Italy at half time, and i was delighted to hear of Palermo.
Upon exiting the stadium when we were walking back for the train, i have to find out the Palermo score and when we arrived back home we all sat down to watch the football highlights and i was proud of Palermo. Corini was AMAZING, BUT DID YOU SEE BIAVA?????? WOW! What a match though, full congratulations to Reggina they were fantastic, especially Bianchi - you must start now to CONSISTENTLY fulfill the potential!!! Fantastic goal from Bresciano as well - nice cross from Zacc for a change as well!!!
An incredible day all round really
On Thursday i go to Upton Park to see Palermo play West Ham, then i have to wait some time before i next see a match - the 28th for Palermo v West Ham at Renzo Barbera.
