Funny, despite being deemed as a failure in the Eredivisie, or atleast not really outstanding he seems to shine in the EPL. Happy for him, I like him as a person and player. ok

I would be interested in seeing how many games Anelka and Ronaldo started as a striker this season and how many games they played wide.

Lampard, Gerrard and Fellaini are split strikers, Ronaldo's just a striker and Rooney's a LB.

Hangeland at RB is also worth a giggle.

Fellaini is a DM in Belgium, Lampard is CM, Gerrard is SS, Ronaldo-Rooney can be played as a winger

Fellaini's a CM - he just got shoved forward because of Everton's dearth of strikers - he played in CM before Yakubu etc. got injured

He also got shoved because he was terrible as CM in Premiership, struggling heavily to keep with tempo of the midfield battles. He didn't show anything to consider him as a quality CM in England...yet (I hope).
But he somehow keeps playing well as CM for Belgium NT... so we will probably have to wait a little bit longer with a final verdict.

But Lampard? When Deco stopped playing well, he basically took over most of his duties and he was really good, don't have a problem calling him a CM this season.
