Those last 2 are his picks for the CL and the Europa League.
debaser wrote:Why is everyone predicting Chelsea to win everything? They're no better than the last couple of years, and have another new manager to get used to.
I'll say:
Juventus
Liverpool
Barcelona
Bayern
Bordeaux
CL: Inter
EL: Aston Villa

Stop hyping Italian coaches Blue
If Ancelloti plays 4-1-2-1-2 all season there is no way Chelsea will win the EPL.
My favourites are Liverpool, unless Utd sign a top class winger/forward type player.
For the rest.
La Liga: Barca
Serie A: Inter
CL: Real Madrid
Europa: ???? - someone dropping out of the CL.

Spain: Real Madrid (flat track bullies and will be more consistent due to larger squad)

Tweeds, don't tell me your buying this "Lamps isn't as good when he isn't playing off Drogba" crap spouted by the Sky pundits?

Would you be happy with that? I think I'd rather see Barça win the league...it would be some achievement to beat out a squad worth 400 million and full of superstars.
Not that I want Madrid to win the CL...but in that tournament a team that works well, esp. in defense, is more important. And there are many other teams that can knock them out.

Always with the victim complex.

No. I don't even have Sky sports!
It won't work because it lacks width and the formation may struggle to score against teams parking the bus - the same way that Scolari's team struggled.
Same thing happened with Milan in Serie A. They dropped tonnes of points against opposition that they should have beaten because they lacked the neccessary penetration in the final third.
bluenine wrote:but the lack of a quality target man who would convert the chances probably was.... Thats why Inzaghi was so successful for them whenever fit.
Tweedle wrote:Well maybe I'm basing my opinion on too few Milan game. This formation was tried by Scolari at the start of last season though and look where that got them!
