    Ribery Empty Ribery

Post by fcb Thu Aug 13, 2009 12:51 pm

What's going on with him then? Today in the Spanish press they're saying that he played for France last night, despite being "injured" for the entire pre-season at Bayern Munich :suspense:

Then there's that rumour about him waiting till August 14 before filing a formal transfer request, because that's the date when he's due an extra loyalty bonus for completing 2 seasons of his contract.

Are Madrid, Inter, or Chelsea really still in with a chance of signing him? Shocked

We're not signing him. Where would he play? Left back? I think he is staying to be honest.

Well, Hoennes said recently, it's more likely the bailiff will come to Real Madrid than Ribery. Laughing

Abramovich supposedly wants to travel to Munich himself and talk with Hoeneß about a Ribery transfer. But knowing the stubborn sausage king, it's a waste of time.

Bayern demanded €100m, and the deadline was sometime last month. Real and others weren't willing to pay that, so Bayern are absolutely not willing to sell after the deadline has passed. That's Bavarian stubbornness (and financial independence) to you, kinda admirable if I'm perfectly honest. Wish my club was a bit more stubborn at times.
