Stop the hype, Özil is the last player who needs it.

He is a huge talent who can become a true great one day, but he has a lot to learn still. If he remains focused and down to earth like he is, if he makes the right career decisions, means not wanting too much too early, he will have a great career. His potential knows no limits, but potential / talent is just one aspect of a successful career.

It's good to know that he seems to have the right mentality, which is important, but his agent is a greedy c**t. Not the first career that was sabotaged by greedy agents / wrong advice.

No, born and raised in Gelsenkirchen. Even his parents were born in Germany afaik. He doesn't even have a Turkish passport.

You would never ask that if he would play for a different country than Germany. Hypocrisy. Ale

Xavi is a different player, but he had a blinding season. He might well be the best midfielder. I have no respect for half-baked observations on Iniesta being the best midfielder or what have you. He is more like flavour of the month.

Kaka > Iniesta any given day and twice on sundays.

One man army that Milan banked on to win trophies. Replaced by Dinho? Haha.

Only retards would diminish his talents.

Ozil is really brilliant from what I've seen so far. But he has to dominate the assists and goals charts to be named Bundesliga's best player.

On the other hand, Gourcuff has already done that, and won Ligue Un POTY. It's a bit far fetched to compare Ozil to Gourcuff already.

Similarly talented players in different leagues who would make a favourable comparison:
Nasri, Modric, Hazard, Milner, Jovetic, Giovinco, Mata, etc

This Milan side will never be as good as the one with Kaka.

The year Liverpool won the CL, Kaka made the best assist of the decade to Crespo. It's not his fault Milan's defence would bottle it badly.

Dinho 'won' in the past with Farca. But he will never be as vital and important as Kaka was, to Milan. Kaka was that good. That he was able to shoulder the weakness and win games singlehandedly.

I rate Seedorf and Pirlo too. But Kaka took them places. His performance against Manchester united is devastating even to this day.

they banked on him to win them trophies and he won they all of One, well two if you include the world club cup(the league title was all sheva and the old guard), i'm pretty sure if dinho stays their long enough he will match that.

the way some people talk about him, you would think he has 3 league titles and 2 CL titles to his name are something like that or more.

not saying he isn't talented and all that, but people over emphasize what he has really achieved, way too much, one CL title for all they years he has been at milan, that's not good enough for a player some are still calling the best in the world, and milan had some good teams while he was their, so don't use that as an excuse.

Sure, that too, won't deny it. Smile

But I honestly believe that it would be awful for German football in general, not just Werder, to lose another promising talent, especially one of his calibre, to the Bayern talent graveyard. Would think the same if he wasn't a Werder player.

just for the record, before this turns into a kaka v iniesta trend, i never said, iniesta is the best player in the world nor the best midfielder in the world, but for the past two seasons he has been better than kaka, i don't think anyone among us can deny this.

kaka influence on a team shouldn't be compare to iniesta's, but to the likes of dinho, ronaldo, henry, messi ext and all these players have lead their team to more success than kaka.

It doesn't matter about Iniesta, Kaka or anyone else -

you could take their best bits and clone them in a test tube to create a superhybrid footballer,

and Ozil would still be better than him.

    Otto,

who in your opinion is the bigger talent -

    Ozil or Marin?

I'd say BOTH of them have the potential to usurp Maradonna as the greatest footballer to have ever graced the game.

Marin will be bigger in Japan as he's more marketable - a statue of him wil be built entirely of chocolate by 2011.

Ozil will appeal more to the Muslim nations ; his performances over the next 3 years will directly influence a resolution to the conflict in the Middle East. One of the Pillars of Islam will be named in his honour.

The Endless Conveyor Belt will continue to help bring good to our World.

    Thank you Germany Ale
