Los Che will try and sign both players this week although no fees have been agreed as yet, Deportivo are said to be holding out for around 15m euros.

Both players would be great signings, i hope they can get them in as Valencia's squad has really thinned with the sale of Aimar, Mista, Corradi, Di Vaio, Aurelio etc. If they can get in a few signings they should be able to put in a decent title challenge.

La Liga will be as competative as ever next season with Barce, Real, Villarreal, Sevilla and now Valenica all strengthening their squads with new signings.

Andrade desreves to be with a bigger and more ambitious club then Deportivo.

He's got so much pase on him. It's incredible.

    Quality CB. Great guy.

He'd be a hughe hit in the Prem I think, playing for one of the top 4 sides. Valencia would be a great place for him though.

Yeah i really like him and was gutted he missed the world cup. I think your right that he would be a success in the prem but i cant see any of the top teams going for him, Valencia would be a great move and i think he would be a success alongside Marchena.

I've read some news that Marchena was supposed to be on his way out. Perhaps the prospect of Ayala leaving has given him a new opportunity?

They've also loaned Sporting Marco Caneira, another CB. They could do with brining in some talent.

Well, Simao isn't going to happen. He didn't agree to the proposed conditions twice now and the chairman has lost his patience and isn't going to swallow any more pride. He isn't in a spending mood anyway now that Valencia may lose out on the CL. If they do lose out, there will be no other signings and maybe even one or two players sold! How's that for ambition?

I still think they should go through with the Mestalla behind them. I haven't haeard of the Valencia chairmen being unambitious, but that sounds very poor management of money. I think Valencia, and maybe Depor, should have taken adavntage of their title wins a few years back. With a bit of ambition I think they could have challenged the big two in the long run.

Weird story this one. Not sure what the hell they're doing, they being Benfica and Simão.

Benfica took for ever to reach an agreement (with how many clubs now?) and now that they did Simão can't reach a deal...sounds weird. The guy is always going on about how he wants to play abroad... I think he'd prefer a move to England.

More cash and bigger spotlight at Valencia seemed to be all he's wanted and yet he's turned it down...hmm

Simao failed in the Liga so maybe he is waiting for a big offer to play in the EPL.

I think he also likes the publicity he'd get there. While he did fail in Spain, he's a different player now.

Quaresma also didn't make it and I'm sure if he gets the chance again he won't let it slip away from him twice. I'd actually like to see Quaresma at Madrid one day.

I liked Quaresma, i thought he wasnt that at Barça. I kinda like Quaresma more than Simao to be honest.

Sorry, the first part of that last post was about Simão. The guy craves attention.

Quaresma is a different kind of guy. I have his 'Quaresma 20' jersey from his original season with our senior squad.

They don't need Simao. David Silva showed last night in the Trofeo Naranja how good a player he is. Aragones has to call him up to the NT. Gavilan can also play on the right.

I enjoyed watching Quaresma yesterday for Porto, he played well for Porto and gave Richards the slip on more than one occasion.

That's good to hear, as Quaresma hasn't been up to his standard from what I've seen of Porto's pre-season thus far.

He is without doubt a player of extreme talent and quality. Portugal will be much better-off when he becomes a regular, which should happen soon enough. A real leader too. Captain material.
