Another player has come out to say that yes indeed them Argies were begging Perú in the second half to let them win. This time it's striker Fano who is not naming names unlike Palacios who did. It seems Fano did heed their pleads because he missed TWO fucking sitters.

Fano also said that out of respect, he won't name names, but that he'd never ask an opponent to let him win no matter how chaotic the situation.

I don't know how serious this speculation is but Maradona is supposedly going to select 4 defenders from the following for the match against Uruguay: Demichelis, Schiavi, Pareja, Heinze, Otamendi.

    Fullbacks! cheers

Insua did look woefully out of his depth (not that his more experienced colleagues were much better) but he's really the only left footed option in the squad, unless he decides to give Monzon a go.

Possibly might play Otamendi at RB.

    24 HRS LEFT! Shocked

If it's half as exciting as the Argentina-Perú we just witnessed, then I'll be pleased.

Was talking to a Spanish fellow (Valencia fan) at a bar, and he said that was the best game he's seen in a very long time, and that we were robbed by the ref.

I asked him if he thought the game was better than Sevilla-Real Madrid (which I thought was an unbelievable game), and he said there was something "epic" about the Argentina-Perú match.

What the fuck makes a game "epic"? A "David" (with only one arm and one leg) vs a "Goliath" (with the refs by his side)? The biblical rain during the last 25m of the match? WTF did the game have that a lot of people are calling it "insane", "the best I've seen". scratch

Was it them Argies reacting to their miracle win as if they had won the WC? WTF was it? <Ale>

Alright pay attention mes amis: I'm gonna hook you up with some ca$h, you'll like this LRD homeboy!

Two HUGE matches: Uruguay-Argentina and Chile-Ecuador

You go to the most RECENT AND RELEVANT opponent for BOTH!

Common denominator for Uruguay-Argentina match = Perú

    Perú 1-0 Uruguay (in Lima)

Argentina 1-2 Perú (in Buenos Aires, let's be real here, with any other ref besides Bolivian Ortubé, Perú wins 1-2, Palermo goal was offsides and two PK's for Perú not called!) Important in handicapping games to call out them refs!

THUS, Uruguay 0-0 Argentina a DRAW!

Common denominator for Chile-Ecuador match = Uruguay

Ecuador 1-1 Uruguay (in Quito, again the ref gifted Uruguay a PK in 93m, the 'correct' score without ref intervention is 1-1 and not the 'official' 1-2 Uruguay road win, very important!)

    Chile 0-0 Uruguay (in Santiago)

THUS, Chile 0-0 Ecuador a DRAW!

    CA$H!!! <Ale>

Derren Brown didn't predict the lottery numbers, he just called Puro.

That's a mad formula you got there mate we'll see. IMO Uruguay to win 3-1 or 4-2 and Ecuador to come close but probably a draw, hope they fucking win though.

There's just so many talented players he's neglecting, must be frustrating for the Argie supporters. Anyway I
hoping for an Argentina victory, can't bare the thought of a demoralised mascherano for the season.

What does he have against Samuel and Cambiasso scratch They would have such a powerful defensive centre if he played a 4-2-3-1.

Heinze lucky there. On a yellow for 80 more minutes with his style is very dangerous however.
