Re: Deutschland v Uruguay
Uruguay for the win IMO. Germany have been on a steady decline.
2002 finished 2nd
2006 finished 3rd
2010 finished 4th
They were more successful without the foreigners ffs!

Still...every fucking tournament they come far and nobody ever rates them before the tournament. Nobody has a record like they have. 12 semi's out of 19. That's insane.

Out of 18 Fey, we didn't play in 1930 and 1950.
But thats marginal, but its indeed a nice stat to look at even when its often not enough for the title

Klose will care, and most of us will not be happy if he gets the goal record.
Hopefully uruguay will be able to stop him scoring, apart from that I don't care who wins.

Lahm
our slimey, cuntish captain
has already said that he does not really want to play this meaningless game
Flick, the coaching assistant , pointed out that Klose had a problem with his spine
Khedira something else
it is VERY LIKELY
that we will play a "partial" second string just like in 2006 against Portugal
as a thank you to the lads who got no playing time
Aogo, Kiessling, Marin, Tasci... could get a run out
my only worry about this kumbaya-we-are-one-big-family-approach
is that both Müller and Klose will out of the Golden Boot race
in Klose's case the ALL-TIME-TOP-SCORER record
the guy HAS to play for the FULL duration of the game to GET IT

Just read it on the ticker. He was already on the Uru box in between but switched back.
He's also predicting the World Champions later
So if you don't want you fun spoiled, don't watch this!!

Re: Deutschland v Uruguay
Given that about a quarter of Klose's world cup goals came in one match against Saudi Arabia, it would be highly typical if he stole Ronaldo's record in a meaningless third place play off.
Goals scored in these matches should not count in the record books

Klose scored five of those goals on a terrible Germany team (2002). Ronaldo scored with Brazil. How easy is that?
Anyway, if McDonaldo wanted the record he could have started by not becoming a fat and lazy bum.

Ronaldo's best years arguably came more than ten years ago.
But that German is still a disrespectful conte, and it would be a travesty if a system player like Klose joined him, or even beat him, in the rankings.

a) Klose is NOT a system player
b) he is not a disrespectful conte but one of the nicest players around and arguably the greatest TEAM player of ALL TIME

Re: Deutschland v Uruguay
Klose is a constant goalscorer in big tournaments as well as in the Bundesliga (apart from the last two years)
2002 5 goals
2004 injured
2006 4 goals
2008 2 goals (quarters and semi)
2010 4 goals (so far)
+ all his qualification goals, he is no Ronaldo but for all the disrespect he gets, I hope he will score
He also said he wants to play in 2014 so maybe he can score 20 WC goals total !!

I wasn't talking about Klose, but about the poster Effenberg who was so rude about Ronaldo.

Yeah you are correct Ronaldo did a far better job, despite playing for the best team in the world. He deserved to be the best striker and scorer in that tournament.
But if he wants to be the all time goalscorer he should score the most goals. If Klose will score tomorrow, he deserves it. Its football, the team (player) with the most goals win
Ronaldo couldn't keep his game up, he could have easily played another world cup.
That's (sad's) the truth.

Re: Deutschland v Uruguay
Gerd Müller scored 14 in just 2 world cups. That should really be the record, if you think about it.
Ronaldo and Klose both played three tournaments, so if Klose were to have the record he'd deserve it. It's not as if Ronaldo scored all of his goals against the best opposition either. Of course not, it's the World Cup! Plus, his goals included a penalty and an own goal, so there.
It's doubtful that Klose will play tomorrow anyway from what I've heard.
