The EPL is exciting when big clubs drop points - its a shame United aren't allowed to drop them more often, then it would be really exciting.

I quite like this Wigan side but the Thomas/Diame duo does limit their style. Hughes was right to go 4-4-2 and hit the fullbacks, Wigan's midfield isn't too great in possession so you may as well play two spoilers of your own in the middle and try and double up in wide positions. Slightly surprised Martinez didn't give King or Kapo a run out in place of Scotland when they were chasing the game. N'zogbia is fun, Wigan're a couple of signings away from being rather good.

their turnover of players has been pretty high yet they always seem to find decent replacements. Bullard, Chimbonda, Valencia, Palacios, Heskey, Cattermole went off to seek fame and fortune but the club keeps ticking over. I had my doubts over Gomez and Scotland's ability at this level but they've done well so far and look like bargains.

Apparentyl he hasnt done well mate, speaking to some wigan fans they think he is a good championship player but is finding the pace of the epl a bit hard to handle.

The pace? The Championship is played at a 100mph!

best way to be. went out last night so slept in as long as i could without having to work, then rocked up and bashed away the work i had for the 2 seminars tomorrow. also got punched in the nose last night, fucking hurt

Im quite happy with a point seen as we played the last 30 mins with 10 men away against a pretty decent side and were missing the likes of Robinho, Toure and Bellamy. Zaba's first booking was harsh but the second was a clear yellow. Id like to see the penalty shout again cos i though it was nailed on, will be interested to see a replay.

Overall i though we were ok, we are showing good character and that we are hard to beat. We'd have lost that kind of game last season but we dug in and it keeps us going in the right direction, hopefully we can get all 3 points vs Fulham next week.

I only really like going out on student nights.... The locals do my head in.
