i know he scored 3 goals against the last in your league, and some meaningless goals (so not the first goal in a match, he scores the 3rd or 4th goal in a game when the game is already decided )

like i said, most of his goals meaningless, and against smaller teams, he only scored against arsenal and mancity

and we all know how low the quality is in the epl outside the usual suspects, just look at the uefa cup

So most goals are meaningless apart from the ones which are not meaningless and most of the teams in the league are meaningless apart from the few which aren't. Rooney has scored a few goals against the non meaningless teams but he should really be scoring ten goals against these teams like all the other top strikers in the world would ?

no rooney is a player out of this world, an upcoming wpoty, a player who can lead england to wc glory, so he must deliver more than just normal players

whey is not defoe battling it out with torres, he scored the same amout of goals for a smaller club!!!

for strikers its very important (and rooney is playing as a striker this season), hes the mainstriker

klose has so much more done than rooney, englands pretty good at making money for the league and hyping players, that the rest of the world believes it

Not sure i agree about that, well he certainly wouldn't if he weren't a United player. Drogba and Fabregas have been much better,

I rate Defoe, but 8 of his goals have came in 2 games. He hasnt been outstanding in enough games.

What is the point of this thread?

Ozil + Otto's complaints were that Rooney didn't score enough goals.

So this year he scored more goals in World Cup qualifying than any German striker, only second to Gekas is the European top scorer category, but without having had the luxury of taking penalties

He has now also scored 11 in 14 in the Premiership, and God only knows how many assists and potential goal creating chances.

But now this isn't enough for our German pals.

Oh no - he's not scored enough in the Champions League / the teams he's scored against are not of sufficient quality etc etc.

That's fine, keep moving the goalposts, it won't save you or the Mannshaft for when R Day is finally upon you.

Against Croatia Rooney not only scored two, he created two of the other goals as well. I bet you've never even seen the game.

As for direct assists, he's had less than usual seasons so far but even on Saturday he was involved in 3 of the 4 goals, with secondary assists in 3 of them.

Five of his WC goals were against Saudi Arabia FFS,

he's only ever scored 1 goal in knock out stages of the World Cup,

Regarding Manchester United - of course they're going to suffer losing a player of Ronaldo's calibre.

But they're still a formidable force both in the EPL and in Europe.

Hold on, Rooney has scored only 2 penalties this season, and i haven't even heard that they were controversial.

The one against Arsenal was a dive.

He also scored a non penalty in the same game he scored two pens, just incase some nut on a forum accused him of needing pens to score against piss poor teams.
