no wonder, since all our really good players are bought by euro clubs.

until the 80s, when 95% of our national team players played here, it was the opposite: gringos parking the bus to try to stop the south americans.

have a look at flamengo 3 - 0 liverpool, with zico and co. walking on the park. Wink

WOW! Talk about a record that will never be broken. Barcelona have won in 2009:

    1) Club World Cup
    2) UEFA Champions League
    3) La Liga
    4) UEFA Super Cup
    5) Copa del Rey
    6) La Liga Super Cup

They WON EVERYTHING THERE IS TO BE WON IN ONE SEASON!!! Shocked

I have never seen Pep Guardiola so concerned, so focused in one match. The dude was 'coaching' the ENTIRE game against Estudiantes. He probably never thought them Argies were gonna be this difficult or maybe he did.

The Champions League Final against them Mancs was a snoozer for Pep Guardiola compared to today's Final for all the marbles. I mean I had never seen him so worried in a match.

It was fitting that Alves and Messi were the ones who brought Barça back from the dead. Once again, Latin Americans playing for a Latin European team beating their fellow Latin Americans FFS!

Much like Hiddink last CL season when he looked as it was inevitable that he was gonna be second best next to Guardiola during their semifinal tie, this time Pep (IMHO) had that same "OH SHITE!" Shocked expression in his face.

Sabella was matching him in the football wits department throughout the whole game. Noticed how Estudiantes funneled Barça's attack down the middle rendering Henry (USELESS TWAT!) to no participation in the game whatsoever. Clemente Rodriguez had Titi Henry in his pocket ALL GAME.

Messi also didn't do much until very late in the game. Pep was seeing how destiny was escaping right through his own hands, he threw everything and the kitchen sink to Estudiantes, and them Argies were holding on. Pep EVEN played Piqué as a striker with Ibra. Two towers to see if they can win the crosses. Sabella countered with playing Boselli next to Desabato. It was an epic battle for all the marbles. The tension was very palpable at the bar where it was split 50/50 for Barça/Estudiantes. The place completely EXPLODED when Barça tied the game in the 89th minute FFS!

Did you see Pep's celebration to the tying goal? He's never celebrated a goal like that in his young managerial career. Shocked

Kudos to Barcelona players in ackowledging Estudiantes' effort, and Pep showing tremendous respect towards Sabella. Two great football minds. <Ale>

still cannot by the way, i know you madridista gets excited over every little product that pops up out of your academy, but we are use to it and have a very high standards.

Pedro still cannot beat his man well enough, he himself said he needs to work on this among other things, but he is excellent we he only has to make 1/2 touches of the ball, just deadly.

Yup, Oleguer is a really high standard. You're a walking contradiction. Accept it. Biggrin Ale

This is exactly why he is excellent, because Barcelona generally play with only 1-2 touches (aside from Messi). That's ok. Sign Robinho, it would make my year! Biggrin

if we signing robinho, he will be fucking great mark by words.

whats up with the hypocrites and contradiction talk about barca from you all over one player, forgetting that this player has played over 1400 minutes for us so far this season and is a very important member of the squad.

right now the left forward position is our weakest link, pep sees robinho or Suarez has has the best solution to this problem and you are getting all blue in the face because we don't want a player that has been playing at WF all of his career at barca and is not yet ready to play week in week out against the best of them.

give it time, we went out and sign deco even though we had iniesta in the team and look at iniesta now, if pedro continues to impress then he will become a starter i am sure, but now for long gerard is coming and will be the shit. 2009 FIFA Club World Cup - Page 2 Icon_biggrin

Barca will continue to be hypocrites while starting a least 5 players from our youth system week in week out in one of the best teams to ever play football.

truth is you are just jealous of our youth success, you get a hard on every time grenero plays a half decent pass are plays a few minutes.

please don't hate just congratulate, maybe in 20 years madrid will have a team filled with youth players that goes on to win everything that is put before them.
