    not too shabby

this round goes to bernd Ale

for convenience's sake, Jens moved into Steffen's old ABODE

and left it soon after, thinking the quality of the craftsmanship was not high enough Smile

    bizarrely,

Jens also "inherited" the school places of Steffen's kids for his own scratch

some private school I have never heard of, that Jens believes is difficult to get into

    with waiting lists and stuff

ironically, Jens' kids would later mostly hang out with the "ethnic minority" kids Laugh

    only in England, me thinks

    cheers

I don't give a shit whether Jens is a "nice family man", he's clearly a fucking legend, you two and your failure to see past the obvious and pigheaded addiction to stereotypes.

Anyway knob is clearly spelt with a k. A nob is a kind of aristocrat methink Wink

Are you throwing me in the same raft as Otto? I'll admit, I could think of worst paddle partners to wile away the days adrift, waiting for rescue.

HOWEVER, disliking Jens has nothing to do with stereotypes. That he is German and played for Arsenal was mere coincidence - he was just an annoying TOOL on the pitch. Off it, he probably is a nice chap, but who gives a tuppence?

But, I accept such characters when - playing for your own team - can become classed as legends.

Oh, and you'll find both knob and nob - head versions exist in the Urban Dictionary http://www.urbandictionary.com/ Wink

True, until he'd start getting deliriously horny (he's Dutch after all, they're all sexual deviants), wave his dutch pork sausage in the air and start trying to touch our genitals

In terms of being consistently good over the last decade I would say:

    Etoo
    Xavi
    Nesta
    Kaka
    Buffon
    Zidane

    Zidane too.
If i have to chose for a whole decade then it has to be somebody who almost constantly performed well during those 10 years, or at least near to that.
    In no order:
    Xavi
    Sheva
    Puyol
    Raul
    R. Carlos
    Buffon
    Kaka
    Ibra
    Eto'o
    Ballack
    Zanetti
    Nesta
    Totti
    Pirlo
    and
    an honorable mention to:
    Raul Bravo and Oleguer.

kaka was been shit are injured for the past 3 seasons and wasn't that great bar 07, was good for 3 years as well, but no where as good as the 3 you mentioned.

taking into account the post below this one...

Kaka is still the most 'effective' player in the world imo. He has many solutions, because he does not rely on pace only, or power only... or whatever... he is very complete. If he has not space to run onto, he will make his team mates play by giving intelligent passes, pull defenders out of the way, he doesnt waste the ball in dangerous situations, he can also shooooot... kaka has been great everytime he stepped onto the field since he made his debut for Milan vs Ancona... I havent seen a game for him when he was crap, he had a few bad games, but usually when he is back from injury, but in a bad kaka performance the team still plays well enough, thats why i like him so much, he knows how to find a way through the most difficult challenges.

and you cannot deny that nesta is the best defender of the last decade.

nah that was a mistake, but his injuries has to be held against him somewhat now that i've thought about it, puyol for example has probably won more than nesta over the decade and is hardly ever injured so he deserves a shout, though he isn't as good as nesta.
