Re: EPL Discussion 26 27 28 29 30 December
1) Where is Adebayor?Wolves v Man City line-ups:
Wolverhampton: Hahnemann, Zubar, Craddock, Berra, Elokobi, Foley, Henry, Mancienne, Surman, Iwelumo, Doyle.
Subs: Hennessey, Stearman, Ebanks-Blake, Jarvis, Milijas, Maierhofer, Castillo.
Man City: Given, Zabaleta, Toure, Kompany, Richards, Petrov, Ireland, De Jong, Barry, Bellamy, Tevez.
Subs: Taylor, Robinho, Garrido, Sylvinho, Vidal, Boyata, Weiss.
Referee: Mike Jones (Cheshire)
2) Where is Lescott?
3) Will Micah Richards really play as LB?
4) What system MCity will play? 4-3-3, with Petrov on the left and Bellamy interchanging with Tevez? Or 4-2-1-3/4-2-3/1 with Ireland playing behind forwards?
Too bad Milijas starts on the bench, I really enjoy watching him, probably my favourite Wolverhampton player.

Am I the only one disappointed by Ebanks Blake? He was banging in the goals last season (I thought I was being shrewd by having him in my FF team because he was so cheap ) but he has looked incredibly pedestrian so far in the PL. One goal I think and that was a penalty. Is the gulf that big between the PL and Championship?

The quality in the Championship is atrocious to be quite honest.Calidad wrote:Am I the only one disappointed by Ebanks Blake? Tevez scores with another deflected shot. Man City don't deserve the lead, but Bellamy did miss a sitter a few minutes earlier. Tevez is very lucky because it was a soft effort initially.

They don't want to score either. The Man City defence literally stepped aside to let Zubar in there and they still didn't look like creating a clear chance.

It is huge, although we're better this season now we've got rid of some of the lazy wasters with poor attitudes.

I was addressing your arrogance rather that how we would class Sunderland. You clearly see Spurs as one of the big boys, it's oozes out of all your posts.

Where I do see a diff in City is their off the ball movement, thats one thing Mancio seems to ve improved. Or maybe I am noticing it coz I am looking for it, that was one thing Mancio had immediately improved at Inter...
The quick shift to 442 was expected, thats how Mancio likes to play.

No, he's talented, but we're not really missing him. I do think he was part of one of the cliques that had formed in the dressing room, those cliques have mostly been eradicated. Same goes for Oba and Beye, players everyone knows I rate.

I know Toure is not at his prime anymore, but it was surprising to see Doyle easily beating him for the pace, and later pushing him away, before shooting straight at Given.

Garrido scores from a free-kick. Wolves are fuming because there was a clear offside leading up to the free-kick from which Garrido scored. Excellent accuracy as he curled it around the wall and low into the near corner.
