Do you not think it's a bit sad that you feel the need to show off about Gomes not throwing the ball into his own net?

I feel the same about how you blow the leprechaun for saving shots hit right at him.
It's not even the new year and Toure & Lescott have been branded defensive flops.
Another lot Bite the dust.

Where do you see me blowing Given? I rarely talk about him. Everything to say about Given has been said, I know you want me to debate your little agenda again but I can't be arsed, plus it's not my place to defend or hype him anymore. If you want to get an agenda bandwagon going against a Newcastle player, then give me a call Kris.
And on Toure, i haven't really rated him for a couple of years, I thought he was a dodgy signing. Same goes for Bridge really.

how does Reina know the difference between Ward and Berra? I wouldn't recognise either of them if they passed me in the street.

Liverpool still looked unconvincing overall - Wolves were equal to them until the sending off. That, and Gerrard putting on his Captain Marvel act saved the day. Aquilani looked OK as a more competent version of Lucas but it's going to take him time to define his role on the pitch and god knows he could be back on the bench when Masc is fit again. Why was Torres on the pitch? Is Ngog injured?

we didn't scrape draws, we dominated the game against birmingham and should really have won. easily. same with west ham, yes they had chances but the amount of chances we had meant that we should really have won. scraping isn't the right word at all. I don't think anyone is playing well this season, but we're the best of a bad bunch.L r dd wrote:The Professor wrote:Chelsea will walk the league.
What a bizarre post. They're just about to lose their best player....and they've been shite struggling to win against portsmouth and scraping draws v west ham and brum...not title winning stuff AT ALL.
Bellamy's been playing well but Robinho hasnt been playing so cant really compare.

I dunno Ballack, I watched Chelsea-Birmingham and thought a draw was exactly the right result. I still think you're almost certainly going to win the league, but am not impressed by your recent form. Fortunately Man U have done their level best to fuck up their chance to catch up with you.

So no Cesc.
It looks like like we'll be the next big 4 team to fall victims of Villa.
We currently have no partnerships going forward, we had Cesc-Arshavin-RVP at the start of the season which enabled us to break down teams but now we are left with only Arshavin.
Unfortunately i can see us struggling to break Villa down, expect them to sit deep and play on counter.
I'd have played Eboue ahead of Sagna in this game, his direct running could be useful in this game.

I always considered Phil Dowd one of the best Premiership referees, but he already today avoided booking Song and now he called a foul on Denilson, where he actually should have calling a free kick for A.Villa.
Fortunately Arshavin was there to save a day blocking Denilson shot .

Entertaining match despite it being 0-0.
We have been the better team but are struggling to break the stubborn villa defence down. We could have made things far easier for ourselves had we taken that chance in the 3rd minute.
How fit is Cesc? Song, Denilson and Diaby are playing very well but we could do with Cesc's creativity.
Eboue on in the 2nd half please.

Hart >>> Given
Given has conceded 27 in 18
Joe Hart has conceded 18 in 18
GOMES has let in 11 in 12 (excluding Hull)
Good 'keeping doesn't get praised proportionately I'd say. I wonder how much Citeh will spend on new CB's in the next 2 windows

They even showed a Schwarzer save under the title "Gomes saves" talk about bias.
