Everton had at least 2 or 3 good opportunities to put together a dangerous counter attack, but their transition to attack was too slow. Draw a fair result I guess, though if Everton had won I think we would have been saying "deserved result" to that as well.

Re: Games called off
Glad it was Arsenal-Everton that survived the snow, not Sunderland-Bolton or something like that! Very entertaining game, thanks to the gap in commitment between the two teams - Everton were pressing the ball from start to end, and put in an energetic display. On the other hand, Arsenal's players just didn't look interested, starting very slowly...even as the game went on, they couldn't get their passing game going and kept giving it straight to Fellaini.

but they're the worst kind. They put leafs in their hair and hide in the forest.
I think it's potentially a great story, and nice that a kid can move from Senegal to Norway at 19 and 3 years later play for Manchester United in the Premiership, just hope he doesn't turn out to be another Dong/Manucho and I want to know why he got a UK work permit when other, more decorated footballers failed.

England fail. It snowed 2 feet on the East coast of the US a couple weeks ago on a Saturday and American Football games were played the next day, a couple were moved back 3 hours to give the crews extra time to clear snow, but they were played on the day scheduled.

It's not the pitches that are the problem, the games are being postponed because of travelling fans. Personally i think it's bollocks, people can look after themselves, most people are still going to work etc despite the snow.
Fans don't go to away games in America do they?

If City can play tonight then all other games should go ahead this week, I fail to believe the snow/ice is worse in Liverpool than in Manchester.

He is alive .TEAMS Man City v Blackburn
Man City: Given, Zabaleta, Richards, Kompany, Garrido, Petrov, De Jong, Barry, Bellamy, Tevez, Benjani. Subs: Taylor, Wright-Phillips, Robinho, Santa Cruz, Sylvinho, Boyata, Ibrahim.
Blackburn: Robinson, Jacobsen, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Emerton, Andrews, Nzonzi, Pedersen, Dunn, Di Santo. Subs: Brown, McCarthy, Olsson, Kalinic, Hoilett, Salgado, Chimbonda.
And apparently better than Santa Cruz, SWP and Robinho .

Not as often as in England, because it's a longer distance. But home fans also have much longer trips to the stadium because many richer fans(the ones who can afford to buy season tickets) live outside of cities, rather than in them. Most fans drive to the stadium on game day, so inclement weather causes problems for home fans as well as away fans.
Away fans may actually have it easier because they can get a flight into the city and then get a hotel within walking/taxi distance of the stadium. They don't have to drive themselves there.

Hang your heads in shame Blackburn. How can you let Micah Richards run from just outside his own box right through the centre of the pitch and score?! Man City cruising against a pathetic Blackburn side.

Micah Richards
It happens quite aften that opposite's defensive players aren't ready, aren't prepared to pick up central defenders making runs, even if this runs are rarely as succesfull as the one done by Richards.
It reminded me times of libero making runs in 3-5-2 era.

I take it that you are reminded of it every other day considering it's just much too common sight in football these days.

Also the East coast of America always gets alot of snow, they probably have measures in place for this every winter. In the UK we've had the most snow in decades, and councils weren't prepared. We ran out of grit to put on the roads in about a day.

Re: Games called off
if it wasn't already, the league situation added to United going out of the FA Cup puts even more significance on the Carling Cup Semi, Fergle surely wont field his kids now. Tough to see when Fafu, Gibson, Tosic, Manucho and co will get playing time this season.
