Hiddink to Heerenveen? Would you like him as a coach?

Guus Hiddink's contract in Russia ends in august. The new president of the Russian Federation doesn't want to continue with Hiddink while the players and trainings staff love to maintain with the master.

Turkey, Nigeria and loads of other countries and clubs (even North Korea were interested in Hindin-Gu) tried to do everything to get him as atrainer.

But insiders say, Hiddinks wants to finish his impressing carreer at a provincial club. Clubs like De Graafschap (Toon h would be delighted) comes to mind immediatly since he started there as a player.

On the other hand, Hiddinks excellent relationship with Riemer van der Velde (old chairman of Heerenveen) makes it a possibility he signs a contract overthere next season. Heerenveen is one of the best organised clubs in the Netherlands and wants to rise to the top of the Eredivisie but the club is in a lot of trouble at the moment since the results are abysmal.

Another sign he probably goes to Heerenveen is, he was the one who advised the club to contract Jan Everse as trainer for just 4 month "an in between pope".

What would you advise Hiddink to do after the summer? and would you like him to sign for your favourite club/nation?

I would love to see Hiddink manage either

Cottbus

or Hertha Berlin

maybe even Cologne

alternatively, SACK Silvia Neid and employ Hiddink as trainer of our Frauschaft

Alright, I'll add a normal comment to this topic.

Fair enough, Hiddink and Heerenveen sounds like a good project for the trainer and our league would benefit from having a high profile trainer come back to Holland.

Like you said though, alot of clubs/national teams are interested in Hiddink. For anyone to expect Hiddink to take this job, when he is being chased by everyone is a little unrealistic. Heerenveen is very financially stable side considering how much money Ajax has given them alone, but Hiddink's wages are not something top clubs feel comfortable paying for-let alone Heerenveen.

Stranger things have happened before. I wouldn't underestimate the Heerenveen staff, I'm sure they are finding a way to make this transfer desirable for him. It's nice to think that perhaps he misses Holland, and that Hiddink doesn't only think about money. But I wasn't born yesterday, so I think this is just BS.

Heerenveen would be about right for Hiddink.

He cannot manage anyone with big expectations or he will fail.

He is a one trick pony who takes poor or underachieving teams and gets them very fit and motivated (for a while).

Shit tactics and his arse will always go when it comes to the crunch.

It will be dressed up as some sort of grand gesture - the wonderful Gus giving something back to the game when really its cowardice.
