Playoff for CL Spot

You have missed the point dude. The top 3 get rewarded. The 4th place is the last CL place and this would freshen things up. You still get more cash for finishing higher it's still better to do so as you get a favourable tie most likely since you face the 7th placed team if you do finish 4th.

If they lose in the final to the team who finished 5th or 6th then that's their problem. Should have won that or finished 3rd.

I think it would be very entertaining if it did happen. Also it would be fun to watch at least one different team compete in Cl for once. Nonetheless I feel that for the chasing teams like Tottenham/Aston Villa it is an admittance of defeat if this is the only way they can break the Big 4.

The extra cash from the CL could make them stronger to challenge for a title let alone just top 3-4. I see no negatives bar the extra games issue. Obviously i see why the top 4 clubs have said no since they're more likely to miss out this way and it's all about the money. But im definitely in favour though it'd be pretty damn annoying if Pool finished 6th and made the CL

IMO obtaining a Champions League place should be possible via 3 options:

1) finishing in the top 4. (1st and second should be automatic, 3rd and 4th should have to qualify, no idea why they changed that, makes the difference between runner up and 3rd quite literally none-existant)

2)Winning the Champions League. That should always have been the case.

3)Winning the Europa League. Not saying that just because we're in it this year but because it would then become a far more important trophy to the bigger sides that don't see it as particularly important. If you win the Europa League it's more than likely you have what it takes to compete at a higher level of European football.

I see you still miss the point about whether a team in 7th deserves the chance to play in the CL, which is my point

How did you decide that 4th should have a playoff but 3rd doesn't?

If you want to freshen things up, bottom 10 relegated would provide the most freshness. The staleness is in the middle of the table who have nothing to play for come the end of the season. Bottom 3 get relegated, top 4 CL, next 3 Europa League, what's missing is motivation for places 8-17.

England got 4 places so er a play off with real purpose could be for just one. So the last one would obviously be the one up for grabs.

And by the new rules if the 7th placed team won the play offs yeah they would deserve it. I don't think Pool deserve to be in the CL next season or Man City but one of the two will so there you go.

right so basically no justifcation just random arguing combined with the bias that either liverpool or man city could finish 4th and you rather they didn't get in the CL, while you are confident that Manu will spend enough money to stay in the top 3 for the time being.

As already said it freshens things up. Adds more excitement and offers others a chance.

My point about City or Pool not deserving to be in it was simply a response to yet another terrible point made by you.
