How was Jinky today? Good or looking out of his depth? Talksport guy said he was City's best player but I tend not to trust them.

Also I am utterly amazed that Liverpool didnt score a goal today, despite dropping their match winning goal scorer from a few nights ago. What are the odds of that?

You mean the guy who hasn't scored an away goal all season Coop. Yep he was just guaranteed to bang them in today

Babel been getting a lot of away goals lately?

Better to have someone who has actually scored a goal lately on the pitch..that someone who hasnt.

    Scored a cracker at Marseille.

Can't remember him starting many other games. Can't score from the bench Coop and surely it is better to have someone who was MOTM in the previous game rather than someone who was utter shit aside from tapping to ball in from two yards.

Anyway thankfully Torres is back for a few games until the hamstring goes again

Torres was utter shit vs Villa then scored a winner..

Ngog was utter shit the other night and scored a winner.

Babel is utter shit. You must now be literally the only person who wants him at the club.

I rate Bent as a goal scorer. He scores goals whereever he goes. Cant knock him for that. I defended him from the intense abuse he got for scoring goals for his club..thats about as far as it goes. Now I just point out that he continues to score goals.

The Hunter I still think might well score goals in a different side, he's blatantly shit at Milan though, I wouldnt deny that.

There's just nothing in Babel though..doesnt score goals on a regular basis, doesnt make goals on a regular basis, doesnt work hard enough to get the fans on his side when he's not doing these other things..sell him.

I said his attitude was shit and he looked lazy on the pitch. Your manager has agreed..not much I can do about that.

Perhaps if he stops being a bitch and just works hard he'll get in the side on a regular basis, and put the effort on the pitch and he'll score goals there too.

Im not against players being good (like some of you are), I just like to see some effort.

That was Gomes' 1st dodgy moment in ages.

Defoe was fortunate to stay on the pitch in the 1st half - though Calwell fouled him off the ball at least twice to provoke him.

Scharner had a blatant handball when he score in the last meeting, so not sure how Wigan can complain about the 1st Wink

Huddlestone was certainly treading water in the 2nd, but he had a strong game overall.

Modric was quality when he came on.

And finally... SUPER, SUPER PAV! SUPER, SUPER PAV! SUPER, SUPER PAV, ROMAN PAVLYUCHENKO Whoop

He wasn't fouled, they were both tussling for the ball, one was 5'6, the other 6'2, one of them went to ground. Defoe got angry and jumped in with both feet in response, he saw Caldwell didn't give a shit so he pushed him.

We have better home fixtures, better goal difference and are a clear 4 points away from it. Regardless of what you think...there are at least 3 worse teams than us. You have an opinion...based on hate more than anything though.

I made the mistake of watching the 2nd half of City-Liverpool. What a disgrace to football. I actually feel angry after putting myself through that. Not only were both teams incapable of making more than 2 consecutive passes, they played at almost walking pace, as if it was a charity game. Clearly wanted the draw.

I now hope neither gets 4th...what a joke that City have unlimited money, yet Mancini plays such a negative style at home against a team who are there for the taking this season.

It wasn't that the Pool defense was all that great, but comon sending him out there single handly meant that he was going to be covered by 2 players atleast which would make scoring options slim to none. Liverpool isn't exactly the most dangerous forward moving side, I wish teams would just go after Pool instead of being conservative.

I'm sorry COTR but people clinging on to the claim that Babel can still be a quality player in the Premier League are sadly mistaken. He's had countless opportunities to prove himself and has failed the large majority. The only game I can think where he actually looked good was the Arsenal home CL game a few seasons back. Other than that he is one of the worst signings of the last decade and that's saying something.

I read today that Ngog had an ankle problem so my anger on that decision has diminished but while Torres is out, Ngog is the only forward that works hard, holds the ball up and chips in with a few goals. We shouldn't have to rely on a 20 year old lone striker but that's just the way it is.

Also noticed that our defenders can't seem to score the most simple of headers. How many games are won and lost because of one set piece with a headed goal? Skrtel should have won it yesterday, it's not the first time he's missed a good headed opportunity. Just wonder if they work on that training because it's an area we need to work on if we can't pass a ball.

Agger and Skrtel have missed simple header chances this season and going back to last season too. Both lack agression though Skrtel was a lot better yesterday defensively, he never looked commited to his easy chance. Think he was suprised the defender(Lescott?) missed it.

We really miss Hypia in that regards. Kyrygfdsakios attacks the ball well though.

No chance of WHU going down.

Pompey + 2 from Wolves, Hull, Burnley, Bolton - the 3 just have to come from those 5.

I would like to see McCarthy get relegated.

Whilst I didn't think Owen Coyle did anything wrong there would be something very funny in both Burnley and Bolton going down.

Phil Brown has pissed me off in the past but I think he has generally changed a bit - whilst Fagan's red card was justified there are many managers who would have called the 2nd yellow "soft" and had a rant about the ref, he was quite gracious.

He's mainly hated by Arsenal fans on here because his players tackle theirs rather than standing off and letting them play the sort of football that has Jonathan Pearce tugging himself off.

I think he learnt a lot from the Man City away thing and its a bit sad that people forget what a good job he's done.

I would love Steve Bruce to get relegated - they're the outsiders.

But West Ham go to Old Trafford next, then a really important game against Bolton after that.

And it doesn't exactly get easier, they have to face us at the Bridge. Realistically, they'll be grateful to take 3 points from 9 there, because thats what they're most likely to get.

Oh, and just to help West Ham's cause, they play Arsenal after our game.

    3 points from 12?

Mido hasnt the best track record of playing alot of games to be honest has he? Good player but give it a couple more weeks and he'll be in Egypt.

West Ham could easily lose a couple of games on the bounce now. Man United first..that could well knock them back down to earth. They be on a downer then, then Bolton might nick a win through some shit Kevin Davies bundled goal.

They are both shit Luis. I happen to think Babel is marginally less shit while you think Ngog is marginally less shit.

Ngog has been a regular in the side for the past few months and we have probably scored about two away goals in that period with about three shots on goal. He has been appalling in almost every difficult game we have played. I clearly am not seeing what you are seeing in him that makes you think he deserves to be staying in the side while Torres is out. Having both Kuyt and Ngog in the team makes it virtually impossible to score against a good team.

Yes...Robinho's gone, Tevez is in Argentina with personal issues, Bellamy wasn't fit enough to start, and Roque Santa Cruz was injured (surprise! ).
