    Spartak Moscow 2 - 1 Lokomotiv Moscow
    Marek Suchy - 11'
    Ari - 17'
    28' - Aleksandr Aliyev

My title tip lose 2 of the 1st 3 but they were away to Spartak and Rubin so very tough start.

3 goals in his 1st 3 games for Aliyev - hopefully they'll sign Pav too then they'll deffo win it <Ale>

The 1st 3 were a pen, a free-kick and a late run into the box to put away a cross.

Don't know about today's two - a little bit similar to Sneijder I think.

    £3.75m seems very cheap !

    '74: Zenit St. Petersburg 1 - 0 Lokomotiv Moscow

    Vladimir Bystrov - 54'

FFS - how can you have Rubin, Spartak and Zenit all away in your 1st 5 fixtures ?

    Harsh !

Do any High St bookmakers in UK take bets on RPL ?

Only 6 points from 1st 5 will push their odds right out.

They'll win the title - where can you bet on RPL? (I mean high st rather than online)

Not sure about the high st mate....Only saw BWIN and another that do it even online but maybe when the weekends fixtures have completed other places might throw up a few odds.

Great away point for my tip - they've already got their 5 hardest away games out of the way at this early stage!

Vagner Love is back in CSKA after 1 year loan he spent at Flamengo. They've been trying to buy him too, but didn't offer enough money. Apparently Vagner Love is not happy about having to come back to Moscow, but he did arrive on thursday.

Finally, in their 24th league game of the season, Zenit's unbeaten run is over !

    1. Zenit: 24:57

FT Zenit St. Petersburg [5 - 0] Rostov

    40' [1 - 0] D. Lazovic (pen.)

    75' [2 - 0] S. Semak

    82' [3 - 0] A. Kerzhakov

    90' [4 - 0] A. Bukharov

    90' [5 - 0] A. Bukharov

CSKA's draw with Nalchik means that Zenit are Champions with 2 games left to play.

    Spalletti <Ale>

People will rightly point to the fact that he had loads of money (2nd only to City in net spend?) but man for man they aren't better than CSKA (who beat Zenit 3-1 in St Petersburg the other day) and I still think CSKA are the best team to represent Russia in Europe - CSKA are 2 points ahead of Rubin in the race for 2nd automatic place and Rubin play Zenit next.

In fairness losing in CL qualification to Auxerre in such an important games for the club (after a heavy spending) makes Spalletti look quite average.

    Still delivered the title though.

He didn't choose who they buy and despite spending much more they aren't better than CSKA - yet he won the title over them.

Ruud Gullit is manager of Terek Grozny Yikes

It may not stop at Gullit. Terek's vice‑president, Khaidar Alkhanov, claimed today that the club are in talks to buy "one of the 10 best strikers in the world, who is currently playing in the English Premier League". He added: "The deal is almost done."
