James McCarthy is good. and Kone probably should've been in Glenn's team, had a good season. Them 2 plus Maloney, Remy, Alex McCarthy and maybe McManaman I'd expect to interest PL clubs.

Most of QPR squad will be tainted by how bad their season went & Reading don't have many standout players, basically have a Championship level team. Wigan the ones who might be scavenged.

both the McCarthy brothers would get into our 18, James McCarthy would make Lucas surplus to requirements, Alex McCarthy seems to be the Shay Given-esq one man defence that a shambles like ours requires.

Really? I've had enough of average midfielders like Charlie Adam and Jay Spearing for one decade. If we're going to sign a midfielder than he has to be a super sexy player, not some James McLean hero figure.

Gerrard is 33. He's missed half of the last two seasons through injury and he's off again for surgery in the summer. He's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles - he's not the same player he was, albeit he has been excellent this season.

Point is: James McCarthy would start for us. He'd start for any of the teams above us too.

McManaman is exciting now but he'll inevitably fall off in a year or two. He's 90% pace and confidence.

Walcott is also fairly bright and can finish, if McManaman were 17 then perhaps he'd be worth a punt but he's not half the player Walcott was at 17, and he's already 22.

McManaman is better technically than Walcott is currently, let alone at 17. He relies on his pace, but works more effectively then Walcott does in tight situations.

Maybe he will fall off. But he has good technique, is young, fast and English. Definitely worth a punt.

Walcott does not always look lively. Just trust me on that one. This is the first season of his career where he's consistently delivered and even then, he's been hot and cold.

He's an adequate crosser of the ball.

He's lazy on defence for the most part.

The amount of praise you give him is disproportionate to his actual ability. If I didn't know any better I would call you a PHAGGOT. No offense.

FWIW I always thought Mclean was too one dimensional.

Yeah. I'm gonna stand by it. Walcott is good when he's through on goal - composed. And when he has space to run into, as defenders shit themselves.

Our right side, of Sagna and Walcott though is possibly the least dynamic side that Wenger has ever fielded. Unless we're playing on the break, it's an absolute dead end.

All Arsenal Fans hate Walcott because he's not as good as Thierry Henry.

Throughout Wanger's early French revolution the fans were crying out for him to bring through some English talent instead of French. So they now have Gibbs, Wilshere and Walcott (and Ramsay, Jenkinson, Ox-Cha, Frimpong) and now they're moaning that the team isn't as good as it was, Wenger out boo boo boo.
