Not got much to add beyond what's already been said. Should have been a red card. Malice is irrelevant. Ridiculous that they can't ban him after the game as he's already got a yellow card. If it wasn't the former England captain it would have been a different story...

More generally, Terry's form since Christmas or so has been pretty crap. He's given away bad fouls, looked even more clay footed than usual, shown incredible losses of concentration. If it's him and Rio together at the World Cup then god help us after the seasons they're having.

I think John Terry should be put on the sex offender's list.

Okay maybe the slo-mo is a deceptive camera angle. He still doesn't get the ball though, he brushes against it on the way to getting James Milner's knee. He gets far more contact on the player than he does on the ball.

He was too far away to get the ball, and given how non-dangerous, non-important the situation was, to risk snapping someone's leg just to 'win' the ball in that position is an act of highly cuntish proportions.

That tackle was easily as bad as say, Shawcross on Ramsey. It makes me angry to watch it. If that was a standing leg, Milner's out for the next year or more. But Terry has just gotten away with it 'cause of Howard Fucking Webb's incompetence.

It's worse than when Ramsey fouled Shawcross. Much worse.

I really don't understand how the ball being in the general vicinity is relevant. Is you go through the ball and studs first half up a players shin, that the ball was there is irrelevant as its inevitable from the tackle that someone will be injured.
Its this philosophy in English football that I hate, as it makes outright assaults permissable.

That guy is hilarious, they just showed a few replays of the foul followed by a rant from O'Neill, Andy is asked his opinion and he starts banging on about how the penalty decision was game changing. He never mentioned the tackle despite being asked about it. What a fucking coward, he just won't criticise Terry.
