Or Arsenal the week after. Or Villa and Spurs the following two weeks.

This was their last easy-looking fixture. They can certainly drop a few points in the rest.

11 goals in 2 games - will Mancini have the balls to play Adebayor, Tevez, Bellamy and Adam Motherfucking Jinky Johnson in the same starting XI v United ?

    Methinks not.

    Johnson though...

All that time we were being linked with Downing, and I was convinced that we could've gone after him, as he was (a) cheaper and (2) just plain better.

Incredible that for most of the season, our away form has been laughed at by some on here, with comments such as "Chelsea aren't that good and their away form is awful. United will win the league comfortably."

Well we've dropped points in 8 away games (Wigan, Aston Villa, Man City, West Ham, Birmingham, Hull, Everton & Blackburn). Man United have lost 4 of these, potentially 5 if they lose to Man City. Some away record eh? Ale

Another good win and a great performance today, could have been more than 5, adebayor, Tevez, Johnson and Bellers are all on form at the moment and im looking forward to the big derby game next week. Im really hoping Rooney is out but i know he'll play but even with him im confident we can beat them.

Great to see Liverpool drop points, its going to be tough for them now but they still have v good fixtures. We have some really tough ones but im confident we can get some good results and finish 4th. Come on Arsenal on Wednesday would love it if they beat them, then hopefully Chelsea can beat them next weekend but we will have to see.

Also nice to see that 6 out of our 7 subs all came through the academy !

Did your team not benefit from Gary Neville producing an NFL-style tackle on Florent Malouda in the box and a handball goal?

How good does that Phil Jones lad look? If Smalling is worth £7m then Jones must be at least double that!

You're smelling a young boy that you'd pay twice as much for as you would for Smalling because you think he looks better?

Making sure to start the bandwagon asap, eh. Cunning move. If he succeeds, you can point back here. If he hasn't made it in a couple of years we'll all have forgotten your kneejerk hyperbole and you'll have moved on to whichever new young boy takes your fancy.

It didn't escape my notice. I've given up hope of Hart starting for England at the WC though after he wasn't given a chance against Egypt.

Man City have been on fire in the past three/four games though. Looks a bit ominous for Utd. It depends on whether Mancini sticks to the winning 4-4-2 formula or gets scared and reverts to his 3-DM formation Erm

On Phil Jones, all aboard the bangwagon - he does look pretty good though - and that's based on his performances against Chelsea and Utd - a good litmus test for a defender's quality.

Well, the last 2 1/4 games. They lost at home to Everton before that and Wigan was looking like a frustrating 0-0 until Tevez got a quickfire late hat-trick.

They've got 3 great, confidence-boosting results, but the next few fixtures are a different category of opposition. Wigan/Brum are both useless away from home and Burnley are useless in general. Having four attackers on fire is nice, but their defence will be tested more by ManUtd, Arsenal, Spurs, Villa - I could see Mancini going defensive again.
