So whose transfer fee has rocketed after an impressive season?

    Here goes:

    ----------------------------- Harte -------------------------------

    ------ Ivanovic ------ Dawson ---- Ridgewell ------------- Bale

    ----- N'Zogbia ------- Milner ----- Pienaar ------------ Malouda

    ----------------- Bent ----------- Zamora -------------------------

    Manager: Hodgson

mentions: Howard, Richard Dunne, Nani, David Dunne, Rooney (for all those who doubted he could fill into Ronaldo's free scoring shoes)

Coops and Kimbo would sign him for their clubs if they had at least £25mil to give, to be fair.

I don't think Pienaar has improved significantly, he was quality last season too. And season before.
If I would have to choose Everton player it would be Fellaini - he was productive last year as AM, but this season he improved his overall game and started to produce at position we bought him for initially.

For me Assou-Ekotto should be there... or maybe it's just me, not watching him closely enough during previous years.
Huddlestone too, mostly because of much better physical condition.

Also, Camerone Jerome should be in starting XI, probably alongside Zamora.

Where's Michael Owen? He's gone from being a free transfer to being a matchwinning goalscorer for the reigning champions.

Pretty much agree with that. For us, alex Song has also improved massively + an honorable mention for Damien duff

Tevez, i was pretty underwhelmed by him until this season. Same goes for Malouda who i basically saw as a bottom half player.

Gomes should be a mention at least. He started to come good late last season, but certainly improved his consistency this time.

Haven't particularly notice Howard as being improved. I think he cocked up for the Villa equalizer midweek.

Cameron Jerome should definitely be mentioned too.

Jerome is a good shout, been impressed by him in the highlight reels i've seen on motd... Rolling Eyes

Malouda deserves to be in there, he's been brilliant for us this season.

What about that big defender for Birmingham? Not Ridgewell, the other one. He's been pretty good this year.

    Nani lol!

he's only started about 15 games, and he gets taken off in half of them. He has been better since January but his record is hit miss miss hit miss miss instead of miss miss miss miss hit miss miss.

I was talking about this at the weekend that form and incidents at the end of the season tend to count double, for example if Chelsea win the league the penalties in the Bolton game will be memeorable, while if it had happened before Christmas it would have been forgotten by now.

    My team would be

    -------------Hahnemann
    Ivanovic Dawson Johnson Figuora
    Osman Fletcher Pienaar N'Zogbia
    ---------Rooney Rodallega

Ireland, Gerrard, Carrick, Berbatov, Carragher, Upson, Maybe Carlton Cole? Terry, Carvalho, Gallas, Ken Jones, Yakubu until recently, Benayoun second half of the season, Matt Taylor overall, Geovanni.

Carrick, Carragher, Almunia, Clichy, Berbatov (not just this season, admittedly), G Neville, Anderson have all had very poor seasons given what they are capable of. Except Almunia.

Yakubu has pretty good excuse of coming back from a horrific injury, same goes for Jagielka, who is not doing very well after coming back. Fortunately it didn't took long for Arteta to be back on the level he was before.

Riera should be also on the black list, he was acceptable last season and he was doing quite worse this year.

According to statbunker Nani is joint 5th in the assist table, alongside Lennon, Giggs, Valencia, Bellamy, Etherington, Malouda and Drogba and ahead of Anelka, Gerrard, N'Zogbia, Young, Kranjcar, Duff, Rosicky, Modric, Bendtner and Walcott.

since he came back he has been better, but he's still inconsistent and more bad games than good

he was awful in the 2nd leg against Bayern and the 1st leg against Milan, he was awful against Liverpool, Wolves, Villa and Arsenal

3 games where he has looked like a £17m player were Fulham (h) Milan (h) and Burnley (h) and he did ok against Portsmouth, Hull and Bolton.

    So let's break that down
    great games - 3
    ok games - 3
    poor games - 6

The strikers were difficult, I think Fuller's been impressive for Stoke as well, he's won them a lot of games this season. Scoring 23 league goals has to see Bent in there and this has been one of Bellamy's all time greatest seasons. Maybe I'll play a 4-3-3 and remove O-Hara.

As far as I am aware, only luis has included Heitinga and I'm not entirely sure why. He's been steady enough when he's played but not especially good and certainly not worthy of making this team.

Started as right back and it was soon very clear, that he's too slow for this position in England, too many times he was beaten by through ball behind him or left winger going past him. He was then moved into DM and he was good there - very good passing, strong in the tackle, plays very hart. Then Fellaini was started to play as DM (and play really, really well) Heitinga was moved back into CB slot and he was even better there than as DM - his aggresiveness and leaping ability help him to contain bigger forwards, plus his positional sense is better as CB than as DM. He was only bright spot on relatively poor performance by Everton central defenders this season.
Plus, he is already a fan favorite around Goodison Park for his no-nonsene approach combining with good football skills. He's also considered a big steal for us, since we bought him from Atletico for around 5-6 mln pounds.

He's been one of Everton's best players and their best defender this season whilst Jagielka has been injured.

I can't think of too many defenders that have improved dramatically to make this team.
