IMO Tiago definitely deserves to be there. He may be a poor man's Essien, but he's given them the balance to their midfield that they've been lacking in years.

Alsonso is a guy that can get away with average performances because the other midfielders around him are so shit.

Besides he is not DM, he is a deep play maker, isn't that what they call him.

You wouldn't call Pirlo and DM, neither can you call Alonso one.

as a DPM, Benega, and borja has been better.

Yes. Like I've said he's brought balance to their midfield. Positionally-sound and gets forward to help in the attack. I'd be very surprised if they don't take him off Juve's hands in the summer.

No, Alonso is definitely a DM. Alonso is nothing like Pirlo, primarily because he actually tackles and wins the balls. Just because he can pass doesn't mean he isn't a DM.

I don't think it's too outrageous to have Villa in their team. Valencia have been pretty mediocre all the way around and Villa is still scoring goals.
