Have to do it year on year to prove this Ozil. This could easily just be a one off year but who knows.

This year does however give Van Gaal a good base (and more cash) to build next year and attract some better players.

    Congrats Bluenine and abundance.

A big big win for Italian football. This decade shows that Germany is still a shade below the top 3 (at the top level, not in the mid-table region).

The better team won, period. Bayern lacked any ideas as to how break Inter's great defence. Inter on the other hand had very few chances and used them well...

Milito ok 2 goals and 2 assists that shold have been goal...Terrific progress through time for a guy that used to play in Serie B.

Cambiasso ok a general in midfield

Robben Ale , could Bayern players have been more blindduring the match???

Good for Bluey who went to the Bernabeu ok

Very Torres-esque the finish for the 2nd goal.

Slow the defender. Drop shoulder. Open body up. Goal.

Both were equally fabulous finishes Ale

well, have to take into consideration that Milito did have a lot of space in both goals, since Inter counterattacking style allowed this. Doubt he will have that much freedom in the WC

Yeah. I saw Curis Fleming put one of the best crosses ever at the Riverside. He was still fucking terrible.

Muller made 1 good run and 1 good pass all night doesnt change the fact he is terrible.

Muller wasn't THAT bad. I reckon there is potential there.

Badstuber on the other hand.... No

badstuber plays out of position and he was not bad, in defence he was pretty good, and in attack i would have prefered contento

against this inter no team or striker looked good, so i dont blame our attacking players

i dont take this now to bash all bayern players, because inter and maybe chelsea the only 2 defensive teams in the world with wordclass format, so i can live with that

Badstuber has looked out of his depth throughout the CL campaign. This isn't a knee jerk reaction. He's young - he may go on and improve. But compare him to Lahm on the other side, and it's painfully obvious he's got a long way to go.

Lahm played really well be the way, Robben and Lahm were the best two Bayern players I thought, with Van Bommel next. Schweini was okay, but didn't have much opportunity to shine.

It wasn't a terrible Bayern performance - Inter were just far too organised and canny on the counter attack.

It may displease Ozil to criticise Bayern players now, but, bloody hell, Gomez! In some ways it was just unfortunate for Van Gaal that his two substitute strikers lacked pace or dynamism, and were going into a battle against such a brutal defence, but, still, Gomez. Muller was at least involved sometimes, moves the ball nicely.

Got to say I was surprised to see Chivu start. Of course when Zanetti moved to LB he didn't really do all that much better, so maybe it worked out to have Chivu get the customary Robben booking and then go off.

It seems Van Gaal stuck with Badstuber as a defensive option (Pranjic perhaps a touch soft?), but Maicon played a very dull game and Inter caused their damage straight down the middle. so maybe he could have afforded to change that.

This match of all matches was inappropriate for Mourinho mania. He did nothing tactically bold. He played it straight and won with the stronger team. Deserved champions anyway.
