BTW Garth Crooks saying Nigeria only conceding from mistakes ignores the fact that Korea only conceded from mistakes.

Yak miss. One of the worst I've ever seen
Kudos for taking the penalty so coolly though
Shame for Nigeria, I was willing them to score a late winner. One of those Obinna strikes just needed to be on target. Cruel.
But then they didn't win any matches, and they have Lagerback as manager
Garth Crooks after the match showing yet again what a horribly annoying man he is. Glad they've hidden him away for most of the tournament.
--
I had to switch from Argentina at half time. Good job Greece have gone, negative fuckers. There was a worrying moment when I could see Nigeria winning an exciting game 3-2 over Korea and Greece plugging out a 0-0 to qualify ahead of both.
Did Milito touch the ball in the end? Didn't realize he was on the pitch until a few mins before HT.

Every time they get within 30 yards of Greece's goal and meet the wall of white shirts, they resort to timid 1-2s in a backwards direction, instead of looking to penetrate. The game will end 0-0 or a smash and grab 1-0 for Greece. In the other game, S. Korea are really a bit of a nothing team. They basically run around and pass neatly. No real creativity or standout players. But I never trusted Nigeria to hang on to their lead, they lack tactical discipline at the best of times, and would tire as the game went on compared to the Koreans. What's really stupid though is the number of dangerous free kicks they've conceded close to their goal, and now both goals have come from one of those free kicks.

Decent game, not great but still decent.
I was hoping for greece to be a bit more adventurous, but hell even when they knew they were out with that score they still were playing 11 in their own midfield, exept for the last 20 mins.
It was Messi in the qualys all over again, except for the last part of the second half were the greek defence was a bit more open and he stopped being man marked.
Bolatti had a good game, so did Clemente, but that was expected since he is very offensive and didn't have any defensive work to do.
Veron was good in the first half but then started to miss too many passes IMO. Still he hits the ball better than Messi.
Pastore and Palermo were very good subs IMO. Can't fucking believe Palermo has scored in a WC, how great is that?!!, Another chapter for his epic film

Palermo was soooo happy for scoring for Argentina, there is something about a player being completely overwhelmed by joy for playing for his country that is really awesome.
