who should be the follower of KLOSE

    gomez
    cacau
    kiessling
    helmes

gomez can become good, once klose is gone, he needs 100 % trust from an coach, then he delivers, he can become the next big thing for germany

This actually could become a problem indeed. It was the achilles heel of our U21 side already. There are a few talents coming through, but they are not ready yet.

As long as we stick to the 4-2-3-1 system, which is very likely, this won't become a huge problem yet. But as far as out-to-out strikers are concerned, we look a bit thin in the talents department.

there must be a reason why LÖW prefers gomez always ahead of kiessling

in the training gomez looks like a world beater, but he cant deliver in the game

this guy is too much thinking, you hear it in his interviews, he really cares what people think

I looked at Gomez' goal record for Germany.

He has 12 in 37. Pretty respectable, I think.

But wiki kindly provides a breakdown of when they came.

    He's a bigger flat-track bully than Crouch!

    4 against UAE
    3 against Switzerland
1 each against Hungary, Austria, South Africa

    All in friendlies.

Oh but he has scored in competitive games.

    TWICE.

In a 6-0 win against San Marino Laughing

I just thank the footballing gods that they didn't let this €30m clown score yesterday.

Would've been far more embarrassing than any scoreline.

He had a good chance for 5-1 but his first touch was 6 yards infront of him

Gomez has been utter shit for Germany, there is no denying. But Deisler is right, he is the kind of striker who needs to have the full support of the coach, needs to start, he is useless as a sub.
