It's back. Luis's obvious and cliched' pre-match thoughts, Kas's concern only for fantasy points, Kimbo's moaning, Dickanio blaming the ref, Debaser getting his hopes up..only to be dashed, lrd talking general nonesense, Batman at the cinema on grand slam super sunday, COTR blaming Ngog, spurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs and Goat taking the abuse every time City fail to win by 3 goals or more.

Some very good fixtures indeed to start with; obviously the first game will be entertaining, 4th vs 5th last year, all eyes will be on City and what team they will put out, it's one of the toughest tests they could have had on the first day but Spurs will have to juggle that and their CL qualifier which could prove a disadvantage.

Sunday's game is the pick of the bunch, could go either way, both teams boosted by their key player/players staying, Liverpool have home advantage but we usually falter on the first day.

Monday night should also be very good, will Own goals get his season up and running? Will Joey Barton be sent off? Will there be 10 minutes of added time if United are trailing at 90 minutes?

same I got a bad feeling about this game

I cant wait and sadly i wont be on here to take the abuse if we lose as im staying in London for the weekend. Cos its such an early kick off i thought id go down and stay at a mates, just cant wait for the start of the season. Its a massive game and will be close, im not amazingly confident and would take a draw as Spurs are a jinx for us but i knwo we have enough quality to win and can do it. I cant wait to see Silva play and i think Ade will be going all out to show what he can do. Also im really looking forward to seeing Boateng as i think he will do very well especially going forward at right back. Bring on the new season !

I hope Sulejmani is healthy, then we could start Cole and Sulejmani up top woo!

You hope that player who spent most of his career as CB will do very well going forward as a full back? It's very optimistic even for your standards of being "happy for no reason" .

Some question marks about Cahill, as he got a knock on the knee and didn't travel for NT game.
Not sure about RM spot, as Anichebe would fit there nicely with his physical presence, but he didn't practice for last 7-10 days. Osman is also a possibility.
I think Fellaini will start, as we need height to be able to deal with Big Sam way of football.
Other possibility is to start Neville as DM and Coleman/Hibbert as RB... which would probably mean Hibbert knowing Moyes
Heitinga didn't play even 1 minute during preseason, so he's not available yet.

Isn't Rodwell available? Surely then if Cahill doesn't feature you could push Bily forward or even start Beckford.

He is available, and potentially he can be a replacement for Cahill, definitely won't be used as a starting DM/CM alongside Arteta at Ewood Park.

Poulsen could well start now vs Arsenal as Lucas has been travelling with Brazil while Poulsen's been in Liverpool agreeing the deal.

Gerrard's good form for England is hopefully a sign of things to come. Feeling slightly confident now but I'll be more confident if I see Fabregas and RVP haven't made it in time.

Going to be tough tomorrow, with no Ireland or Bellamy and Milner and balotelli not signed yet, plus i doubt silva will play after being in mexico so we are going to be a bit depleated but will still have a strong team.

Anyway im off to get my train to London in a min, enjoy the wekends football !
